0.5 to JJ Peirson, that is a beauty irst up for Pierson. Pushed through quicker again, the ball slides back in with the wind, pitches on off and skids straight on, perhaps even picked up pace as it went on, he prodded outside the line of the ball, missed it and the off stump took a beating.. 5/1
4044111.001130
19.4 to BCJ Cutting, full and straight on middle, he looks to go over the leg side, misses it and is out lbw. The ball would have crashed into the middle stump. Easy call for the umpire.. 185/6
3042214.00510
12.6 to LMP Simmons, swung across the line even before the ball got to him, the slower length ball on off beats the wild swing to hit top of middle. Simmons' handy little dig, a chancy one too, has come to an end. Finally some luck for Hilfy. 116/3
18.2 to NJ Reardon, walks across and lofts it over the infield, no power behind the stroke, he was also hitting into the breeze as the man from deep cover came running in to take a simple catch. 168/5

7.3 to CA Lynn, gives it flight, lands it on middle, Lynn backs away and looks to hit it into the sight screen again, doesn't get it entirely off the middle, got enough elevation but not distance as the long off fielder settled underneath it and judged the catch to perfection. His weight was going backwards as he made contact with the ball. But what entertainment he has provided in the short time he was out in the middle. Big wicket for the Melbourne Stars. Does this mark their comeback?. 84/2
15.5 to JA Burns, another one that was tossed up outside off, this time he looked to slog that over deep midwicket, was targetting the longer boundary, but could only hit it as far as Hilfenhaus, who took a couple of steps back to take it just inside the ropes.. 141/4

0.3 to LJ Wright, looks to blast that through cover, doesn't get to the pitch of that wrong-un, plays outside the line slightly, gets a thick inside edge back onto the stumps. Out comes another Englishman. 1/1
2.4 to KP Pietersen, big appeal for lbw and that's the end of KP. Floater on middle, skids on, he looked to slog across the line, didn't pick the length, too full and once he missed that, he had to get onto his bike. Easy decision for the umpire. Second one for Badree.. 15/2
2.6 to MP Stoinis, tossed up, his eyes lit up as he looked to go over mid-off, the ball skidded on, he couldn't get underneath it and he ended up hitting it flat to Cutting. Heat are in it, just about alive in the tournament.. 16/3
4.5 to PSP Handscomb, deceived in flight and he's gone. Steps out, but got nowhere near the pitch of that wrong-un, pushed outside the line without any conviction, missed it and the wicketkeeper whipped the bails off quickly. Badree on fire. Not sure they're picking him off the hand.. 23/4
4.6 to RJ Quiney, doesn't last long. Trifle short but the ball skidded on, he shaped to pull but was done in by the pace, got it nowhere near the bat, hit him high as it lobs to the mid-on fielder. As easy as they come.. 23/5

18.2 to BW Hilfenhaus, that is the ball of the day. Wasim Akram would have been proud of that. Full and tailing away late, right into the blockhole, Hilfy plays all around it, misses and the ball brushes the top of his right boot and hits off stump. He was off balance because of the pace too. 118/8
18.4 to DJ Worrall, that's another corker! Full, straight at pace and boom! By the time the bat came down, the zing bails were flying in the air. Played around the delivery and paid the price for it.. 118/9
402927.251010
13.1 to DJ Hussey, would you believe it? It was short and sliding down, not a great delivery by any means, and he simply sweeps it straight to the deep square leg fielder. Lalor did well to run to his right, the ball kept swirling away but he kept his eye on the ball, positioned himself well to take it in the end.. 82/6
15.6 to A Zampa, you miss, I hit policy. Flatter one on middle, drifts in, turns away, he looks to play the cross-batted swipe over the leg side, missed it and the ball cannoned into the stumps. 103/7
