Coach
Andrew Corran was a effective right-arm quick bowler who in a different time might have won international honours - he was also unfortunate enough to play for Nottinghamshire at one of the worst times in their history (he also led them for one year). After an excellent school career at Greshams, he won Blues in all three seasons at Oxford. In the 1960 Varsity match he took 12 for 116 and later that season he was picked for Gentlemen against Players. His best season came in 1965 when he took 111 wickets at 20.31, but teaching commitments then took him to Australia and he did not play again. He returned to the UK in 1968 and took over coaching at Cranleigh School where he stayed until he retirement. He was also a good hockey player.
