0.2 to AJ Strauss, shot off the track, hit a crack on the pitch that, short of a good length just marginally outside off stump, surprises Strauss as it kicks off, takes the outside edge, a very thin one, and McCullum makes no mistake. 0/1

3.5 to JL Denly, timber! Kept low, came back in and Denly failed to get his bat down in time, seamed in and moved inwards off the pitch as well to knock back the off stump. 10/2 5.1 to OA Shah, got him! Awkward short from Shah, bowled it full outside off, got it to move away, Shah moved across and tried to flick it over square leg, got a thick edge straight to McCullum. 13/3 34.6 to RS Bopara, plumb! Kept low, the pitch is still doing things, bowled on a good length on middle and didn't rise up one bit, struck Bopara extremely low on the pads as he went across to work it into the leg side, no way he was going to get down to playing that one, England are nine down, was struck in line with middle and leg. 117/9

18.2 to EJG Morgan, gone! Butler strikes! Short outside off, got some extra bounce there, went for the cut, got a thick edge and McCullum, trying to collect it over his head, fumbled it and it lobbed up behind him, sharp reaction from Taylor at first slip who dived to his right to complete the catch. 50/4

23.6 to PD Collingwood, Excellent catch by Taylor! Short outside off, went for the pull, it appeared it came on to him a little too quickly, mistimed it, hit him high on the bat but it seemed as though it would just about clear midwicket, but Taylor leapt with his outstretched right hand, timing his jump to perfection and snapping it out of thin air to end Collingwood's fighting knock. 80/5 25.6 to LJ Wright, edged and gone! Probing line just a fraction outside off and just a hint of away movement with some extra bounce, a lethal combination, Wright plays at it, is surprised by the bounce and nicks it straight to the keeper. 90/6 27.1 to SCJ Broad, caught and bowled! England continue to slide, bowled on a good length on middle, hit the pitch hard as well as the bat, Broad tried to defend it onto the pitch with hard hands, it struck him high on the bat and lobbed up in front of Elliott who bent low and took it clean on his follow-through. 95/7 31.2 to GP Swann, Elliott takes four! Bangs it in short again, it's fetched him wickets today, Swann goes for the pull, again a little late into the shot, gets the top edge and McCullum waits endlessly for the law of gravity to take effect and watches it into his palms. 109/8

43.1 to RJ Sidebottom, Vettori finishes it off, bowled on a good length on middle, rose up to Sidebottom who gets forward and just chips it straight to midwicket. 146/10 |

18.4 to MJ Guptill, the legcutter does the trick, pitching it on middle and off, Guptill pushes at it as it moves away, gets a thick edge to Swann at first slip who pouches it comfortably moving to his left. 113/2

26.1 to NT Broom, one more down! Poor shot from Broom there, short and wide, tried to nudge it down to third man, it came back in just a hint to take the outside edge straight to Morgan. 140/6

12.3 to BB McCullum, that's gone! Made room and Broad pushed it wide, tried to thump that over the covers, mistimed it completely and it landed safely in the palms of Bopara at cover. 84/1 19.1 to LRPL Taylor, what a catch! England are fighting back, albeit a little too late, short of a good length outside off, moved away just a hint as he tried to defend off the back foot, got a thick edge and Swann, at second slip, dived full length to his right to take that with one hand inches from the ground. 114/3 21.4 to GD Elliott, edged and gone! He's walked off, the short one does the trick, banged in hard on the off stump, it kicks off, moves away and catches the glove on the way to the keeper. 118/4 23.6 to GJ Hopkins, one more! Hopkins goes, Broad gets his fourth. Bowled from wide of the crease, hurls it short just outside off, Hopkins is pushed back as he tried to keep it down, it flicks the glove and goes through to the keeper. 130/5
