2.5 to Mohammad Hafeez, caught at second slip! First strike! A Steyn special, it was on a length, angling into the batsman and around off stump, the batsman had to play at that one, but the ball straightened just a bit to square up the batsman and the edge goes flying to the right of the second-slip fielder. South Africa overtake Pakistan at the first corner.. But this is just the first lap.... 11/1
10 | 2 | 42 | 1 | 4.20 | 39 | 5 | 0 | 1 | 0 | |
9.1 to Imran Farhat, gone! It was a length delivery just outside off and the batsman tries to punch it through cover without moving his feet at all, simple catch for the keeper. Wonder if that working-over by Morkel has something to do with the way he played that one.. 31/2
9.1 | 0 | 33 | 2 | 3.60 | 42 | 4 | 0 | 5 | 1 | |
39.3 to Saeed Ajmal, but it is all over this time! Morne pitches it further up, the batsman stays in the crease and tries to guide it to third-man, but it's too close and he just chops it down to his stumps. 162/8 49.1 to Junaid Khan, bowls a length delivery, Junaid goes for a big swing, misses, and the ball knocks the middle stump back.. 205/10
10 | 0 | 32 | 3 | 3.20 | 38 | 2 | 0 | 1 | 0 | |
34.3 to Shoaib Malik, gone, soft dismissal in the end, angling in towards middle, seemed to stop on Malik there, Malik got across and ended up chipping it straight to midwicket, was the offcutter, got it high on the bat as he closed the face. 151/5 34.6 to Shahid Afridi, Afridi goes! What goes on in his head? Short on middle and he pulls, just a ball before the batting Powerplay, doesn't time it well enough and finds the lone fielder near deep square leg, Ingram takes a straightforward catch and Pakistan are in a bit of trouble now.. 151/6 38.3 to Misbah-ul-Haq, another one for McLaren! This one is a fuller length slower delivery outside off, Misbah throws his bat without making any effort to get behind the line, and ends up edging it to the keeper.. 161/7
7 | 1 | 51 | 1 | 7.28 | 16 | 1 | 3 | 0 | 0 | |
23.4 to Kamran Akmal, caught at backward square leg! Brilliantly done by McLaren! Akmal goes for a sweep and gets a healthy top-edge towards backward square leg. McLaren back-pedals quite some distance and takes this arching backwards. 97/3
3 | 0 | 10 | 1 | 3.33 | 8 | 0 | 0 | 0 | 0 | |
25.4 to Younis Khan, oh what a catch! caught at midwicket. It was a long-hop on off stump and Younis swivels on his heels and murders it towards midwicket, but the only thing he doesn't get his elevation and Amla times his jump to pluck it out of nowhere, excellent catch. 104/4 |

22.4 to HM Amla, caught by Malik! Here comes the big fish in the net! It was a short of length delivery and Amla goes for a pull, and gets a healthy top-edge that shoots up in the air right above him, a number of fielders converge, but it is taken by Malik coming in from midwicket. 83/3 36.6 to F Behardien, where has this gone! caught at fine-leg! He shuffles around the crease and tries to send the short of length delivery on the body on it's way to the fine-leg boundary, but gets a bit of top-edge that goes up high and settles into the palms of Ajmal at fine-leg. Has this come too late?. 170/4

5.2 to Q de Kock, chopped on! This one is fuller outside off and de Kock tries to force it to the off side without ever moving his feet. His front foot is nowhere near the line of the ball, the ball takes an inside edge and splays the stumps behind him.. Disappointment for the young batsman. 12/1

10.5 to CA Ingram, hits off stick! It was the quicker one on the middle stump and Ingram didn't know whether to go back or come forward, he is late as he tries to go back and tries to cut it behind square, gets an outside edge on to his off stump. 34/2
