Your critics claim that under your tenure, the USACA has lurched from crisis to crisis, culminating in your suspension from the ICC. How would you respond to those attacks?
The efforts of outstanding individuals have been undermined long before my time. Political forces in and out of the organization have made bad calculations about the financial rewards of cricket in the USA.There are those who believe that it takes a few dollars to make many millions. This belief has been around for many years; it has undermined the efforts of many and drained our limited resources.

Harry Shapiro, a coach in South Africa, has been helping out Uganda reports New Vision
Shapiro described the participants as enthusiastic, hard working and full of potential capable of furthering the development of the game. They were attending a one-week course in coaching cricket.
“They are a dedicated lot with a lot of enthusiasm and talent. They only need a little more hard work,” Shapiro remarked.
Shapiro, 65, is a South African professional coach who has also been instrumental in guiding some players on the Proteas national squad.

Deuchars IPA, part of Caledonian Brewery, will be Scotland's shirt sponsors for next month's World Cup in the Caribbean. Most of Scotland's players have full-time jobs (read Scotland's CEO talk about this) and two of them, Ryan Watson and Gavin Hamilton, work for Deuchars.
“There are two jobs that most men most would like to do," Gavin Hamilton said, "selling great beer and playing sport at the highest level. I get to do both. Cheers!”

Peter Drinnen, the Scotland coach, is confident his side can take advantage of an Australia side whose confidence is on the wane.
"In the one day game anything can happen, and if we get it together we are going to be very dangerous, even against Australia," said the coach, himself an Australian. "We have a game plan and hopefully we can stick to it.
"Our preparation couldn't have gone much better and I'm really happy with what we've got going on. All 15 players are good cricketers and can all do a job.
"We don't fear anyone at this World Cup - the last month's fixtures in one day cricket all over the world have been interesting to say the least, and we won't be losing any sleep over playing the world champions. We aren't going to the Caribbean to play exhibition cricket.

Bermuda will be subject to arguably the most fiercely enforced Code of Conduct ever imposed on a national team over the next month, as reported by today's Royal Gazette:
A curfew of 11 p.m. the night before a game and midnight for all other days is set to be strictly enforced.
Any player who breaks the curfew will automatically be banned for two One-Day Internationals and receive a hefty fine of $1,000.
Any player who breaks the curfew for a second time will be sent home immediately.

The results are in, as reported on Cricinfo earlier, but it doesn't make for pretty reading:
The results of the proposed USA Cricket Association constitution ratification vote has been announced today with 70.03% (201 votes) of the responding member clubs agreeing to the proposal.
However, in total, only 287 votes were registered which amounts to just 43% of the 667 registered clubs the USACA has on their books, some way short of the mandatory 50% under which the existing constitution was formed.
Furthermore, only 12 days' notice was given for the clubs to vote on the new constitution, partly explaining the low turnout. It seems likely that another issue affecting USA cricket will be settled in the courts, just 8 days from the ICC's deadline: by March 1 they must have held new elections under a fresh constitution if they are to maintain its status as an Associate member.

The Kenyan media has rounded on the country’s players after they stopped training in a dispute over non payment of match fees for the cancelled game against Canada in January. Whereas player strikes were common during the time of the old Kenyan Cricket Association, things have moved on, and the players find themselves attacked for their latest attempts to blackmail the board.
An editorial in The Standard says:-
Players also ought to put patriotism before cash for the national good. While we appreciate that they have families to feed, staging a strike over a match that was not played is regrettable.
