TV talent winner arrives at Grace Road
Sukhvir Singh , the 20-year-old who won the Cricket Star talent show in India, has arrived in the UK to take up his prize: a contract with Leicestershire.

Singh is a pace bowler and will be integrated into the set up at Grace Road, although his playing opportunities will be limited to club and second team matches.
The TV show was a success in India and there are plans to bring it to the UK and possibly Pakistan.

Gordon Stringfellow, the Nottinghamshire scorer, has died at his home in Arnold aged 72.
A popular and well-known figure at Trent Bridge, Stringfellow succeeded Len Beaumont as the first XI scorer in 1994 after working alongside his predecessor the previous summer.

Chris Sutton, the former Norwich City striker, struck a "bubbling" fifty for Sheringham against East Harling last week.
Sutton - who is being linked with a return to the Canaries - hit 74 in Sheringham's 206-8, with Ben Etheridge picking up three wickets.
But Sheringham could not complete an outright victory as East Harling reached 117-8 in reply.

Durham are urging anyone with a few hours free between Friday 15 and Sunday 17 June to help give visitors to Chester-le-Street for the third Test the best
possible welcome.
The Welcome Project will guide visitors from the Chester-le-Street train
station and the town centre down to the Riverside stadium. Volunteers
will be responsible for giving directions, local information and flyers
to the thousands of fans who will be passing through the town centre.
The key times we need support is from 9.00am - 11.30am and from 5.00pm -
7.00pm on Friday 15th, Saturday 16th and Sunday 17th June. There will
be a rota based on two-hour slots and we will accommodate volunteers as
far as possible in their preferred sites.
All volunteers will be given a ticket to a county fixture for later in
the season as a thank you for their contribution to this initiative.

Lancashire has agreed to loan Kyle Hogg, the allrounder, to Worcestershire. The four-week loan period will include four Friends Provident Trophy games, two Championship matches (against Surrey and Warwickshire) and some early matches in the Twenty 20 Cup.
Steven Rhodes, Worcestershire's director of cricket, said: "With the ongoing injury to Matt Mason and the latest injury to Roger Sillence, it seems a sensible and exciting move to loan a player of Kyle's undoubted ability to help us over the next month. He will be a natural replacement for Roger in our forthcoming Friends Provident Trophy matches against Durham and Warwickshire."
Mike Watkinson, Lancashire's manager, said: "It's a good opportunity for Kyle to play 1st XI cricket in all competitions. He is a talented player who is very much part of our future plans and the arrangement will hopefully benefit the player and Lancashire."

Leicestershire and Lancashire have teamed up to back a campaign to raise awareness of the search to find Madeleine McCann.
With no prospect of play in the Friends Provident Trophy match at Grace Road, the two teams donned special yellow and green Bands of Hope to support the fighting fund set up by the family.
Brad Hodge, the former Leicestershire captain now playing for Lancashire, led the support of the campaign among players such as Paul Nixon, Muttiah Muralitharan, Sajid Mahmood and James Anderson.
