South Africa 296 for 8 (Markram 82, Bavuma 65, Breetzke 57, Head 4-57) beat Australia 198 (Marsh 88, Maharaj 5-33) by 98 runs
Keshav Maharaj claimed his first ODI career five-for as South Africa registered an emphatic, series-opening win over Australia in Cairns.
Defending the highest total at the venue, 296, South Africa grabbed the match by the horns when they took 6 for 29 between the eight and 17th overs, as Maharaj delivered a sterling spell in which he found appreciable turn and maintained a consistent line to pick up 5 for 33. The margin finished as Australia heaviest runs defeat at home since 1991.

Fuller four-for, Gubbins 87* lead Hampshire's thrashing of Surrey

Uneven contest at The Oval as visitors coast home with whopping 30.5 overs to spare

Hampshire 162 for 1 (Gubbins 87*) beat Surrey 160 (Fuller 4-34, Neal 3-33) by nine wickets
Excellent bowling from veteran seamer James Fuller, inexperienced slow left-armer Andrew Neal and pacy 16-year-old Manny Lumsden proved too much for Surrey at the Kia Oval in what became an embarrassingly one-sided nine-wicket Hampshire victory.
The Hawks dismissed Surrey for 160 in 46.3 overs before skipper Nick Gubbins anchored a buccaneering chase with 87 not out from 60 balls. Hampshire's fourth win in five Group A matches, clinched with a massive 30.5 overs to spare, boosts their ambitions of qualification for the Metro Bank One-Day Cup knockout stages.

Munro celebrates TKR return with century and victory

Holder's 44 helped St Kitts and Nevis Patriots fight in a chase of 232, as they ended only 12 short

Trinbago Knight Riders 231 for 5 (Munro 120, Hales 47, Holder 2-40) beat St Kitts and Nevis Patriots 219 for 7 (Holder 44, Fletcher 41, Tariq 4-33) by 12 runs
Colin Munro enjoyed a triumphant return to the Trinbago Knight Riders, scoring a record-breaking century in his first game back with the CPL team he had represented for seven years until 2022. He smashed 120 off 57 balls - no TKR batter has made more - to set up a total of 231, which paved the way to a 12-run victory over St Kitts and Nevis Patriots.
Munro, who has retired from international cricket but continues to be a force in T20 leagues the world over, made his first T20 century in four years, and celebrated it by tossing his bat and punching the air with both fists. He was last seen in the CPL two years ago, playing for the St Lucia Kings, and practically matched the work he did in six games for them (172 runs) with just one innings here.
