Chuni Goswami was an allrounder who played for Bengal, leading them to the Ranji Trophy final in 1971/72. His cricket career came late, and he only concentrated on it after he had retired from football where he made 50 international appearances for India, during which time he captained them to gold at the 1962 Asian Games and silver in the 1964 Asia Cup.
