Nasir Jamal has some big shoes to fill. His elder brother, Raees Ahmadzai, was part of the team that lifted Afghanistan from Division Five onto the world stage. A middle-order batsman and part-time legspinner, Nasir represented Afghanistan at two Youth World Cups, captaining one of the campaigns, before making his ODI debut in the drawn series against Zimbabwe in July 2014. His age-group record suggests a batsman of some consistency, though with a frustrating habit of getting out once set - a problem he will have to work on if he is to press for continued selection.
