One of several USA Under-19 players born outside the country, Ryan Corns shot to prominence at the qualifiers for the 2010 World Cup. His 230 runs and 13 wickets fetched him the Player-of-the-Tournament title and helped USA gain a spot in New Zealand in early 2010. In an era where many of his team-mates and U-19 colleagues model themselves on big-hitters of the international game, Corns has been told his batting style resembles Michael Vaughan, the former England captain. Corns' father played cricket for Northern Transvaal B in the 1980s.
