After being an almost constant 12th man the previous summer, Tim Welsford finally got a chance to perform in the ING Cup in 2005-06. Given one opportunity two seasons ago in a game that was washed out, Welsford appeared in four ING Cup matches last summer without any wicket-taking success. A right-arm fast bowler, he represented Australia Under-19 in 1999-2000, but his career peak was dismissing Brian Lara in a day-night tour match at the MCG.
