A tall allrounder, Tom Loten came through the Yorkshire academy to make his first team debut in 2019. He played in a rain-affected Royal London Cup match against Durham in May, and then scored a half-century in his first-class bow in the final round of the Championship. Highlights in his development included an innings of 131 for the 2nd XI against Worcestershire at Harrogate in 2018, to go with 790 runs and 12 wickets for the academy team that same summer.
