Cox joined Kent at the age of 10 and has developed into a promising wicketkeeper-batsman and a key member of the England U19 team. Educated at Felsted school, Cox made his first-class, list A and T20 debuts for Kent in 2019, featuring regularly during the Vitality Blast campaign. The stylish right-hander carried his bat for 122 in a 50-over match for England U19s against Bangladesh in the summer of 2019 and went on to be the second-highest run-scorer in the winter tri-series in Antigua, with another classy century against Sri Lanka.
