The ICC World Twenty20 Qualifier 2015 will be contested by 14 teams which have been seeded and divided into two groups:

21.9.2 Six teams will qualify for the WT20 2016.

21.9.3 The first round of the competition will be the Group stage (42 matches).

21.9.4 Each team will play every other team in its group. Points will be allocated for each match in accordance with the system described in clause 21.10 of these playing conditions.

21.9.5 Following the Group Stage the team that finished 1st in each group qualifies automatically for WT20 2016 (two teams).

21.9.6 Teams ranked 2nd to 4th in each group will participate in qualifying matches to determine the remaining four (4) teams who qualify for WT20 2016.

21.9.7 Qualifying Matches

a) Playoff 1 - Match 43 - A2 v B3 - the winner of this match qualifies for WT20 2016 (1 team).

b) Playoff 2 - Match 44 - A3 v B2 - the winner of this match qualifies for WT20 2016 (1 team).

c) Playoff 3 - Match 45 - A4 v Loser Playoff 1 - the winner of this match qualifies for WT20 2016 (1 team).

d) Playoff 4 - Match 46 - B4 v Loser Playoff 2 - the winner of this match qualifies for WT20 2016 (1 team).

Semi-final 1 - Match 47 - B1 v winner Playoff 1

5th/6th ranking match - Match 48 - winner Playoff 3 v winner Playoff 4

Semi-Final 2 - Match 49 - A1 v winner Playoff 2

3rd place playoff - Match 50 - Loser semi-final 1 v loser semi-final 2

Final - Match 51 - winner semi-final 1 v winner semi-final 2

21.9.8 NOTE: if a minimum of 11 matches (out of 21) in a group have not been completed at the end of the group stage, the results of those complet-ed matches will be void and the teams will be placed in the group according to their original seeding as provided for in 21.9.1 above.
