Bengal do it too!
All of Bengal's top-three - Abishek Porel, Abhimanyu Easwaran, and Sudip Kumar Gharami - got fifties before Akash Deep and Shahbaz Ahmed put on 93 off just 57 balls for the seventh wicket to help Bengal chase down Vidarbha's 382 with an over to spare.
Shahbaz finished with a 58-ball 71 while Deep remained unbeaten on 38 as Bengal got away from 279 for 6 to 383 for 7 in Rajkot.

Karnataka do it!
Target of 413? Make that 40 short! Abhinav Manohar and Dhruv Prabhakar help Karnataka scale down Jharkhand's 413 with 15 balls to spare, in Ahmedabad. Manohar finishes unbeaten on 56 off 32 and Prabhakar has 40* off 22 to put Ishan Kishan's 39-ball 125 (yes, you read that right too), in vain.
Stats highlights from Sampath Bandarupalli:
Karnataka's chase of 413 against Jharkhand is only the second successful chase of 400-plus target in List A cricket. South Africa's 435-run chase against Australia at Johannesburg in the 2006 ODI remains the highest.
The previous highest in the Vijay Hazare Trophy was 384 by Andhra against Goa in 2011-12 season.

Karnataka and Bengal on course for magical chases
In a day dominated by batters, Karnataka and Bengal have a solid chance to do something special. Despite Padikkal falling for 147 right after the start of the final powerplay, Karnataka are on course of chasing 413, yes you read that right, as Abhinav Manohar and Dhruv Prabhakar have brought up a fifty partnership in just 26 balls. Karnataka need 38 in five overs with five wickets in hand.
Bengal need 43 off five overs, with four wickets in hand. Akash Deep and Shahbaz Ahmed, building on their half-century stand. Shahbaz's fifty came well under a run-a-ball and Deep has bashed two fours and a six in his fist 17 balls. At this stage, it does seem like advantage Bengal.

Padikkal ton keeps Karnataka in the hunt
His 10th List A century has kept Karnataka chugging along in their chase of 413. He's currently on 117 off 100 deliveries, with Karnataka on 280 for 3 after 35 overs. He's currently got wicketkeeper-bat KL Shrijith for company. Abhinav Manohar and Shreyas Gopal still to come. The defending champs will ideally need this partnership to take them within 10 overs of the chase.

Kohli raises ton, muted celebrations
As soon as he brought up his century, off 84 balls, he looked back towards the dug out asking if Rishabh Pant is ready to come in to bat. For now, he's carrying on it seems. Not sure how much longer, though.
Kohli now looking to belt the ball. Hit everything out of the ground. A shriek echoes around the ground as he lines up a slog and misses.

RoKo lay down the marker
This is the fastest of Rohit's 37 List A centuries, off 62 balls. Not the most threatening attack, mind you. But there's been plenty of intent and aggression that he hasn't looked to curb at any point. His previous List A ton for Mumbai was on Vijay Hazare debut way back in 2008.
Kohli, meanwhile, has got to his half-century off 39 balls with a slap over backward point for four in Bengaluru

Kohli takes the attack to Nitish Reddy
Kohli is looking to dominate. And he's doing so by taking a step or two outside the crease, like Matthew Hayden did in his heyday, advancing down to meet the ball early.
Nitish Reddy has borne the brunt of Kohli's fireworks already. If being waltzed through the covers third ball wasn't enough, he's now seen Kohli exhibit incredible range already.
There's a length ball that Kohli imperiously lofts over extra cover for six off the back foot, and the follow-up is a step out as he drills it back over his head. Kohli has raced to 25 off 12.

Kohli takes guard
At CoE, Kohli has walked out to bat in the very first over of Delhi's chase of 299, after Arpit Rana nicks off to Nitish Reddy.
Priyansh Arya is also in a punishing mood, having hit three fours and a six - a delightful short-arm jab over midwicket - as he races to 23 off 15.

Rains runs for Ishan Kishan
A week after slamming a match-winning century during the course of a chart-topping and title-winning SMAT season with Jharkhand, Ishan Kishan slammed a 33-ball century in the Vijay Hazare Trophy opener against Karnataka in Ahmedabad on Wednesday.
Kishan’s is the second-fastest List A century by an Indian (and fourth overall, behind Jake Fraser-McGurk, AB de Villiers and Sakibul Gani).
Gani etched himself into the record books (fastest List A ton by an Indian) a few minutes prior to Kishan’s century, when he brought up his century off just 32 balls as Bihar slammed 574 against Arunachal in a Plate League fixture in Ranchi.
Incidentally, that innings was set up by Vaibhav Suryavanshi, who got to his century off 36 balls and eventually finished with 190 off 84 balls. During that innings, Suryavanshi also became the youngest List A centurion.
The top three fastest List A hundreds by Indians have all now been brought up on the same day - across two different venue (Ahmedabad and Ranchi).
Kishan, who forced his way back into India’s T20I squad for the New Zealand series and the World Cup next month, slammed seven fours and 14 sixes in his knock, finishing with 125 off 39 balls as Jharkhand finished with a mammoth 412 for 8 after being put in to bat by Karnataka.
Kishan walked in to bat at No. 6, at the fall of Kumar Kushagra’s wicket at the 38-over mark, and got to his century off 20 balls. Then he slammed seven sixes off his two fours off his next 13 deliveries to bring up his century.

Kishan slams record ton
33 Balls taken by Ishan Kishan to slam a century from No. 6. This is now the 2nd fastest List A century by an Indian. The record belongs to Bihar captain Sakibul Gani, who got to his century off 32 balls, just a few minutes prior to Ishan.
Incidentally, three of the top four List A centuries by Indians have all been scored today.
Gani - 32 balls
Kishan - 33 balls
Suryavanshi - 36 balls

Ishan Kishan slams 20-ball fifty
In Ahmedabad, the Syed Mushtaq Ali champs are pummelling Karnataka.
Ishan Kishan, who came out to bat at No. 6, has raced to half-century off just 22 balls. Virat Singh, who built tempo for the innings early on, has just perished for 88.
In between the Ishan-Virat madness, Kumar Kushagra tucked himself in to make a 43-ball 67 during a 129-run fourth-wicket partnership with Virat.
Since raising a half-century, Kishan has slammed two sixes off his next two deliveries.

Bhui builds for Andhra
Andhra's innings was devoid of momentum until the 20th over, where they were going at just around 3.5 an over, but Ricky Bhui has brought a sense of urgency to proceedings. He's charged to an 88-ball century, his 4th List A century.
Nitish Reddy, who just joined him a short while ago has been dropped at point on 5. And to add insult to injury, he lofts left-arm spinner Harsh Tyagi inside-out over extra cover for boundary, followed by a monstrous six over long-on.

Opening the batting with Prabhsimran Singh, Abhishek is dismissed for 48 by left-arm spin allrounder Vicky Ostwal, but not before setting a strong platform courtesy a 101-run opening stand in 18.3 overs. Punjab are currently 114/1 in the 22nd over against Maharashtra at the Anantam ground in Jaipur. Anmolpreet Singh has joined his first cousin at the crease.

Is there Kohli mania in Bengaluru?
This was meant to be an emotional homecoming at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium. Instead, on the eve of the match, the KSCA was forced into a late switch, shifting the game to the BCCI’s Centre of Excellence on the outskirts of the city.
The plan had been to allow around 2000 spectators at the Chinnaswamy, but clear directives from the state government meant the fixture had to be staged behind closed doors. The CoE, in any case, is hardly a venue that lends itself to crowds.
It’s far enough from the city centre that even a willing turnout would struggle. And yet, the drive out felt entirely routine. This, in many ways, had the air of a regular domestic game.
There is police presence, yes, but nothing overbearing. And for all the anticipation around him, Virat Kohli doesn’t appear stifled in by attention or hysteria, because, quite unusually, there is none of it. Perhaps that has something to do with Delhi being in the field. Perhaps the mood will shift several notches when Kohli eventually walks out to bat.
For now, the scene is calm. put in to bat, Andhra are 32 for 1 in the 10th over, with KS Bharat and Shaikh Rasheed at the crease.

It's time for the Vijay Hazare Trophy
The last time Virat Kohli played in the Vijay Hazare Trophy, India hadn't won their second men's ODI World Cup, in 2011, Sachin Tendulkar was still India's ODI opener, MS Dhoni was ODI and Test captain, and Rahul Dravid and VVS Laxman were far from done. And Kohli himself hadn't yet worn India's whites.
Nearly 16 years on, Kohli (and Rohit Sharma) have retired from two formats, and are only active in ODIs, a format that's often the third most important in the cricket calendar.
With scrutiny on their longevity sharper than ever, their return - Rohit last featured in the tournament in 2017-18 - signals clear intent to keep pushing towards the 2027 World Cup, thereby lending the 2025-26 Vijay Hazare Trophy an automatic lift in profile.
Some of the star players featuring outside of Ro-Ko: Surya, Rishabh Pant, Ishan Kishan, Hardik Pandya, Varun Chakravarthy, Devdutt Padikkal and Shivam Dube among others.
