RCB will miss Ellyse Perry's services in WPL 2026  •  BCCI

Royal Challengers Bengaluru's Ellyse Perry and Delhi Capitals' Annabel Sutherland have withdrawn from the upcoming WPL 2026 season due to personal reasons. Tara Norris is also out of the upcoming season for UP Warriorz after being called up by USA for the 2026 T20 World Cup Qualifiers.
DC have named Australia legspinner Alana King as Sutherland's replacement, while RCB have signed pace-bowling allrounder Sayali Satghare as Perry's replacement.
Perry has been with RCB for all three seasons of the WPL and was retained for INR 2 crore for the upcoming season. She is the second-highest run-scorer in WPL history, and played a key role in helping RCB lift the title in 2024. Satghare, who has played three ODIs, was previously with Gujarat Giants (GG), and played four WPL matches over two seasons. She has been signed for her base price of INR 30 lakh.
Sutherland was with DC for the last two seasons, having played the inaugural edition for Giants. She was retained for INR 2.2 crore ahead of WPL 2026. Her replacement, King, has played just one game in the WPL - for UP Warriorz in 2025 - despite being a regular for Australia. King, however, comes into the upcoming WPL after taking 12 wickets from 13 games for Perth Scorchers in the recent WBBL, where they finished runners-up.
Warriorz have named Australian batting allrounder Charli Knott as Norris' replacement. Uncapped in the international circuit, Knott has the experience of playing six seasons of the WBBL and two of the Hundred.
Norris had been bought for her base price of INR 10 lakh in the auction, and Warriorz are signing her replacement for the same amount. Norris had played for DC in 2023, picking seven wickets from five matches.
