6.00pm So Bangladesh will have to wait longer to record their first bilateral ODI series win over Sri Lanka. The difference tonight, I reckon, is that blistering half-century from Thisara Perera. Lifted Sri Lanka to 280 after two horrendous run outs. Then with the new ball, Suranga Lakmal and Nuwan Kulasekara were outstanding. The damage upfront gave enough cushion for the spinners even when Shakib and Soumya briefly threatened to take the game away from them through a fine counter-attack. The old adage of 'one brings two' held true again as Sri Lanka kept chipping away at the wickets to put this beyond the visitors. Credit to Mehedi for a gutsy half-century but he was simply delaying the inevitable. Over to the two T20Is on April 4 and 6 then to round-off what has been a cracking tour so far. Level in the Tests, Level in the ODIs.

"We lost the match in the first 10 overs, both with the bat and ball. 280 was definitely chaseable," says Mashrafe Mortaza. "There wasn't much pressure on us coming today. We've to sit together and come with plans for the next series in Ireland."

Kusal Mendis is the Player of the Series for scoring 160 runs, including a sublime century in the second ODI.

"Really happy with the way I'm batting," says Man of the Match Thisara Perera. "I'm returning to the side after six months. I've done well at training, I just want to keep this going."

Kulasekara to Taskin Ahmed, OUT, this is a length ball on middle which Taskin looks to mow over wide long-on but ends up getting it on the top half of his bat, which means there's more elevation than distance. The man coming in from the boundary had enough time to stop, settle underneath, then again run forward to complete the catch on the move. Sri Lanka's first win in eight ODIs. Series ends 1-1

Kulasekara to Mehidy Hasan Miraz, OUT, slower delivery outside off, Mehedi takes it on the full but toe-ends it to the man at the edge of the ring at cover. Gutsy knock

Mehidy Hasan Miraz c Tharanga b Kulasekara 51 (71b 6x4 0x6) SR: 71.83

Kulasekara is back. Light beginning to dip. Umpires aren't too perturbed though. Batsmen aren't complaining either. Why would they?

Gunaratne to Taskin Ahmed, no run, squeezes a full delivery to cover

walrus: "If only, if only... with how everything seems to be proceeding so far, would be interesting to see how the match would've panned out if BD took some of the key moments into their favour. But first things first, they've got to sort out their batting order, with the pinch hitting near the end, and the proper technically correct batsmen in Mossadek, Mahmudullah and Mehedi in the middle order. "

Gunaratne to Mehidy Hasan Miraz, 1 run, looks to muscle this over long-on but the ball took ages to get to him and by then, he was nearly through with the stroke, down to long-on

Gunaratne to Taskin Ahmed, 1 run, chips one towards the man coming in from long-on. Looked to flick that over midwicket but looked like it came off the back of the bat
