11.30pm SL easily complete the series win in this second ODI, never really looked in doubt in that innings. Kusal Perera's stroke-filled 99 and Lahiru Thirimanne's patiently-compiled 81 took SL home. WI were poor from the start, their fielding was not impressive and their bowling just tapered off as the innings progressed. Sunil Narine produced one moment of magic early in the innings to dismiss Dilshan with an inswinger but after that, it was all in one direction. The captaincy must be said was unimaginative but he wasn't helped by his fielders and bowlers. Right then, that is if from here. Join us for the third ODI. Until then, see ya.
Kusal Perera is the Man of the Match: "It's rarely happened to me(cramps) but I kept the first innings so maybe that was it. Me and Dilshan had a good start and when Lahiru came, I decided to rotate the strike and take calculated risks."
West Indies captain Marlon Samuels: "Another 20 runs through those run-outs would have been crucial, but we dropped too many catches. catches win matches. But credit to SL. We needed another 20 runs. This is the first time I got a start on this tour and I carried on, but a run-out at that time, it's part of the game.'
Angelo Mathews: "I thought it was a clinical performance from the whole unit. All the bowlers bowled brilliantly. I'm very glad the way they bowled. I knew I had to keep my faster bowlers' overs because the spinners would find it tough to grip later. Delighted to see Thiri get some runs."
