SUPER OVER - END OF OVER8 runs
DC: 8/0CRR: 8.00

12am That's wrap of our double-header Sunday coverage. Al Muthu has captured all the drama from this game in his report. Thanks for your company and comments. Until next time, stay safe and take care.

Shaw, Player of the Match: It was a good wicket in the first six overs and then slowed down a little bit. I felt the wicket was slow and the spinners were bowling well. It was not easy to score against Rashid. I thought 160 was good to defend, but a close game. I'm just doing the stuff that I have worked with. I didn't think about the Super Over, and I think Axar bowled really well in that Super Over. I wasn't there [for the Super Over meeting]. I knew Rashid will bowl for sure and Shikhar and Pant will open for sure.

Dhawan, acting DC captain (Pant is not feeling well, according to Murali Kartik): Absolutely, a thrilling game. It shouldn't have gone to the Super Over. We should have done it easily. But, it's part of the game. It was very tough to bat especially after powerplay. It was turning and holding. Kane Williamson played a very good knock, he's a champion player, but good to win it in the end. Those little things [one short] make a huge impact and we got an edge over that and we ended up winning the game. Glad the Ahmedabad wicket will be better than this one.

Warner: It's a tough one. I thought the way the bowlers came back after the powerplay was fantastic. Vijay is not one of our strike bowlers, but he was fantastic. Johnny at the top and Kane batted deep but... It's on the selectors. Harsh call [to drop Manish Pandey]. You can't discredit Virat. They bowled fantastically in the middle and brought it back. If you hit the ball to a world-class fielder, you get run-out nine times out of ten.

Smith: I'm fitting well in this group and good bunch of guys. Nice to get over the line in a nail-biter tonight. Ricky was my first international captain and he's calm. It's been a good couple of weeks. This wicket was difficult. I probably tried to overhit the ball. On this wicket, guys who have tried to muscle the ball haven't done that well. Kane played a smart innings and gave them a chance, but nice to finish on the right side of it.

Manu Ajmani: "Baffling to not go with Bairstow. Baffling to push the tired KW right into the super over. Baffling to not try to shuffle the batting order even after losing so many games. Lackluster, unimaginative captaincy from Warner and a short run was the icing on the proverbial cake. SRH has handed this match to DC. "

Priyankar Ray C: "That short run haunting Warner!"
