That was a comprehensive win for Bangladesh, totally outplaying Zimbabwe. On a docile pitch, 207 was just not even runs on the board for Zimbabwe, whose batsmen just couldn't score quickly off Bangladesh's array of spinners.
Junaid and Tamim gave the Bangladesh chase the perfect launchpad, and Ashraful made a near-flawless century to finish the game. Zimbabwe's bowlers need to be more disciplined as well, leaking plenty of extras besides feeding the batsmen with hit-me deliveries.
Sharthak from Bangladesh: "Good win to start the series for Bangladesh. The most impressive part of this win was sensible batting."
Post-match presentation:
Prosper Utseya says his batsmen should have applied themselves better early in the innings so that they could have attacked later in the innings.
Shakib Al Hasan says the boys did a very good job, and is happy with his team's performance.
Mohammad Ashraful is the Man of the Match. "My team-mates have supported me though I didn't do well in the Tests against West Indies," he says. He adds that not being captain has also reduced the burden on him and allowed him to play more freely.
