5.40 pm South Africa claim the much-needed 10 points to move past West Indies into eighth place on the Cricket World Cup Super League table. It means that West Indies are now 100% confirmed to go to Zimbabwe for the World Cup Qualifier in June/July. South Africa are all but assured an automatic berth to bypass the Qualifier in Zimbabwe and go straight to India. The only thing that can happen to deny them is Ireland taking 3 out of 3 against Bangladesh in May. Anything less, whether it's a tie, no result, loss, in any of the three matches, and South Africa are 100% confirmed to be in India.

So the decision for South Africa's IPL stars to delay their flight to India has been vindicated.

Dutch captain Scott Edwards: "I feel like we were almost there with the ball. Had we taken that catch and had them five down, I feel like we could have restricted them to 300 or 320. We kept up with the rate but we needed someone to make a big score like Aiden did. It's tough, especially when you've got a 48-meter boundary or something out there. We had our plans, but when guys get going like that, it's pretty tough to stop. We got a lot of experience playing a lot of top-tier nations. Our youngsters have been awesome. As a group we've got a long way to go. We had quite a young squad for this series. Even seeing young Musa face a barrage was good to see."

Aiden Markram has been named Player of the Match and Player of the Series. 175 today and an unbeaten half-century in the previous win. "A lot of relief going through. Ultimately as batters you want to score big runs and set big totals. [On David Miller] He came in at a stage where we needed a big partnership and he made it look quite easy. He's in the form of his life. It would have been nice to see him get a 100 but hopefully one will come soon for him. I'm super grateful for how it's turned out. The team is going in the right direction both in red ball and white ball. It's a nice new mindset that we're trying to play with. It looked like everyone had a great day for a great occasion on Pink Day."

South Africa captain Temba Bavuma: "We did exactly what we wanted to do in terms of points and qualification. We'll obviously see in May from that point of view but we had lots of positives in terms of batting and bowling. It's been a long time since someone has taken a five-for. He's fitted in like a glove within the team. He's always looking to attack and hit those wickets. Every time he's put up his hand and put his best foot forward. Our record is quite good in pink. Maybe we should play a bit more in pink. But the cause, it's something the guys keep in their heart and they put it into their performances. There were fours and sixes flying around, and wickets so the bowlers had a smile too. We're glad to play our part in raising a considerable amount of money. Things have gone nicely for me. I'm starting to find the middle of the bat more. It's a pity that [the summer] has to end now."

That's it for today's coverage. Keep your eyes peeled for the May ODI series between Ireland and Bangladesh. The final automatic berth for the 2023 Cricket World Cup will be decided there. Two more berths will be up for grabs in June/July during the Cricket World Cup Qualifier in Zimbabwe. On behalf of Himanshu Agrawal, I'm Peter Della Penna. Take care!

Shamsi to Kingma, OUT

bullseye! South Africa's automatic 2023 World Cup qualification hopes are alive and well! Flighted full on fourth stump, Kingma heaves across the line with an ungainly sweep and misses. Off stump is knocked back to seal a 146-run win.

Magala to Klaassen, OUT

bullseye! The crowd goes out of their minds roaring as Magala has a maiden ODI five-for! Good length ball skids a touch low with a radar locked in on middle and off stump. Klaassen's lack of footwork is exposed waving his bat around this. Middle and off stump are split halfway up.

Magala to van Meekeren, OUT

bullseye! Double-wicket maiden for Magala! Length ball angled in from off stump skids on toward the top of leg stump. van Meekeren clears the front leg heaving for midwicket but misses badly playing over the top of the ball with a pull and leg stump is nailed just below the bails to sent it cartwheeling backwards.

The over-rate discussion is going to be rendered meaningless if South Africa manages to knock over the rest of the Dutch tail fairly quickly here.

Magala to Shariz Ahmad, OUT
