9.22pm A really impressive effort from the Stars bowlers to pull things back after Tom Banton was lofting the ball over the ropes mercilessly and the Heat were cruising at the halfway mark. Hugs and pats all around for the Stars line-up, before shaking hands with the Heat players. Dale Steyn is having a chat with Chris Lynn. The match turned when Adam Zampa got rid of Banton and things only went downhill from there, leaving too much to do for Renshaw. Haris Rauf made an outstanding debut, as Maxwell says, bowling consistently around 145kmh, and Daniel Worrall's outswingers weren't any easier to face. The effort of the night came from Maxwell earlier, who smacked 83 off just 39 balls to power the Stars to a competitive total almost single-handedly. So the Stars start on a winning note and the Heat have lost their both their matches now.
Glenn Maxwell is the Player of the Match: Nice way to start a tournament, the boys bowled beautify till the end when Tom Banton was batting well and they pulled things back. We've got some strength in our bowling, guys like Sandeep [Lamichhane], and Haris Rauf was outstanding. I feel we've really covered all bases this year. Haris scared a few of the boys the other day in the nets and his debut was outstanding. I've been feeling good all summer and just the mental side of the game I need to get right. Fro the team, the top order probably lost a few too many wickets at the start so we need to make thing easier for the back end.
Waseem Sarwar: "Time for Haris to build on this great glorious opportunity and stake his claim for the national side. "
That's all we have from this match, stay tuned for all the other live news and updates. It's goodbye and good luck from Vishal Dikshit and Thilak R.
