Kumble fires on a yorker length and Yadav can only put this away along the turf to deep midwicket
RCB vs Chargers, 21st match at Bengaluru, IPL, May 03 2008 - Match Result
Time to catch my breath! Bangalore finally manage a win at home but it nearly wasn't the case. Had Bangar been on strike things would have been different. You would normally back your most experienced bowler to deliver the final over and fortunately for Bangalore, Kumble managed to get his last two deliveries right.
I feel the turning point of the match was the 18th over when Praveen Kumar got Laxman and Afridi. Steyn's blinder sent back Afridi but you have to say that Deccan were hard done by 2 leg before decisions against Laxman and Styris. Both were dismissed off deliveries which pitched outside leg. That could be up for further discussion later. Bangalore won't complain. They've seen a few home defeats and finally things have gone their way. Stay with us for the presentation.
Here's Rohit Sharma. He gets the orange cap for being the leading run-scorer: "Disappointing to lose the game. I just like to keep it simple and play my natural game."
Laxman: " In the last 5 overs we lost too many wickets and the pressure increased. I was unfortunately dismissed just after Rohit got out. It was disappointing but we will fight back."
Dravid: "Relief to win at home, finally. Good to see the crowd support us. Good to see the rub of the green going our way. You just got to hold your nerve a little. Anil is cool as a cucumber and I knew he would deliver."
Praveen Kumar is the Man of the Match. Dravid is the interpreter. Unfortunately his Hindi is too fast for me! Just think of some cliches and you will get an idea of what he said.
That's it from us here. There's more IPL action today. Part two of the Saturday double-bill features Kings XI Punjab taking on Kolkata Knight Riders in Mohali. Jamie's ready to take you through that. On behalf of Binoy, this is Kanishkaa signing off. Cheers!
5 off 1
goes down the track and manages a thick inside edge onto his pads, they steal a single and Boucher;s flick misses the stumps

boy oh boy! Of all times Kumble has to bowl a full toss and Bangar bangs this high over deep midwicket!
one of the flattest sixes you'll see! Bangar charges down the track and creams this low over extra cover
full on the stumps again and this time it's a single again, mistimed to deep square leg
If only you could listen to this crowd!
full on the stumps and he only manages to slog it doen to deep square leg
20 off the final over, Dravid turns to Kumble
superb finish to the over as Zaheer fires in a yorker and Bangar only manages to single to mid-off
Deccan are struggling to put them away as Yadav fails to despatch a full toss and only manages to place it to long-off
delivers a fast yorker from round the wicket and he drags it down to midwicket, another single
bangs it in short and gets it to skid through, he goes for the pull but is beaten for pace as the ball clips his pads
Bangar gets a snorter first up and he's in a tangle, he somehow gets a thick outside edge and the ball goes on the first bounce to third man
another dodgy decision!
and another! Zaheer lands a slower ball outside the legstump, Styris attempts an across the line swipe but the ball raps in plumb in front of middle, umpire Suresh Shastri raises the finger and Zaheer is the highest wicket taker in the tournament
In theory that shouldn't have been given out as the ball pitched outside leg
another wickets adds to the drama! Pitches just a fraction outside leg and lands on a full length, Laxman tries to work it to the on side but is too late on the stroke, Praveen appeals as soon as the ball hits the pads and Doctrove raises the finger
keeps him quiet as Laxman pushes a single down to long-off
pitches outside leg and raps him on the pads as he tries to work it to the on side, Praveen appeals for whatever it was worth
lands on a fullish length outside off, and he pushes it down to long-off
Don't leave your seats guys!
continues from round the wicket and it's another low full toss, he softly nudges it down to fine leg
Scott Styris comes in. Pressure!
That was a stunner! Praveen delivers a low full toss from round the wicket, Afridi stays at the crease and clubs that high over the on side, Steyn has quite a bit of ground to cover running forward from long-on but times his dive perfectly and pulls it off inches off the turf
29 from 18, hard to make predictions now! A fee big hits from Afridi could seal the deal
makes room and clubs this one down to long-on
Kallis gets his man this time! He overpitched on the pads and invites the loft, he fails to clear long-on this time and Jaffer takes it easily, the crowd applaud another fine innings by Rohit
