0.5 to Fakhar Zaman, cleaned up! That is vintage Wahab Riaz! . Yorker that Zaman's bat got nowhere near, and the middle stump is knocked back. Kamran Akmal behind the stumps can't help exclaiming "What a ball!", and anyone who saw it would find it hard to disagree. Zalmi off to the perfect start. 2/1
4 | 0 | 24 | 1 | 6.00 | 13 | 2 | 1 | 0 | 0 | |
3.2 to Sohail Akhtar, this was on the cards for a few overs now. Sohail tried to run it down once more but gets only a feather onto the ball, giving Akmal the most straightforward catch. Zalmi all over Lahore. 10/2
4 | 0 | 31 | 1 | 7.75 | 8 | 0 | 2 | 2 | 0 | |
4.5 to Mohammad Hafeez, this is much too easy for Zalmi, and The Professor has gone. Bouncer that hurried onto the veteran, who looked to hook it over fine leg. Got the toe end of the bat and scooped up to mid-off, where David Miller completed the easiest of catches. 13/3
4 | 0 | 34 | 1 | 8.50 | 4 | 1 | 2 | 0 | 0 | |
7.3 to Muhammad Faizan, oh my goodness, what a catch that is from Wahab Riaz! Everything going Zalmi's way right now A bit of width allowed Faizan to lean into an expansive, uppish drive, but Wahab leaps to his left and out of nowhere, plucks it out of the air about an inch above the ground. Glorious. 25/4

15.5 to BR Dunk, taken at backward point. Umaid uses his height to stretch out, hold on, and tumble pretty gracefully to keep it in his grasp. It's full and pushed across off stump again. Dunk looks to force that aerially, over the bowler. But the angle goes away and it's a slice that Umaid does well to stay under, running back and to his left. Dunk falls short of the half-century, but this innings has kept his team in the game. 106/5 17.4 to Rashid Khan, tonks middle stump! Quicker and full as Rashid jumps down the pitch. Yorked himself again and this time he swipes across the line to miss. Splits off and middle and breaks into dance - well, it's either a dance or the foot fires exercise. Either way, he's overjoyed. 121/6 |

1.3 to Kamran Akmal, picked up off the pads but he holes out to deep midwicket. What a fantastic start to the PSL James Faulkner's had! Akmal failed to take advantage of a loose delivery, and Haris Rauf at square leg makes no mistake. 3/1 1.6 to Haider Ali, he's gone! The umpire gives Haider Ali lbw, and the batsman reviews. Back of the hand delivery again, Haider had to wait for it to come to him, but it beat the bat as he looked to work it away. Hawkeye shows it's clattering into leg stump. 5/2

18.3 to Shoaib Malik, oh no way. I think Malik has hit his wicket. That is the end of the chase then. It's a wide yorker. Malik has gone very deep in the crease and as he brings an angled bat down on this, he's grazed off stump. Took it pretty deep and was starting to put some fear in Qalandars, but that's that. He just had too much to do. Smiles at his fortune as he walks off, looks at the back of his bat. He's seen it all in his time with this game, this won't affect him too much. 138/8

9.2 to DA Miller, that's what Rashid Khan's there to do. Miller was unsure about whether to move onto the front foot or rock back, and the lack of footwork does for him. Gets a little inside edge and drags it back onto the stumps. 56/3 9.4 to R Powell, another googly, another wicket! Powell tried to sweep in front of his stumps, and ends up making a mess of it. He's plumb in front, and if it's not kissed a glove, he's going to have to make his way. Yep, that's how it'll be. After a poor first over, the Afghan superstar has two in an over. 56/4 11.4 to SE Rutherford, slides into off stump! Gosh. Just magical from Rashid. He's set him up with three googlies and slid this legbreak back in to cramp him. It's short of a length, it's quick, and it's cutting back in as Rutherford shapes for the punch outside off. Past the inside edge quickly and hits the top of off. Four balls of complete dominance against a man who was bossing it last over. 73/5 11.6 to FA Allen, well there's no surviving this! Googly again. Length, turning in from outside off. Allen deep in the crease, reacting so late - trying to read him off the pitch. You can't do that against Rashid. You never do that. It's quickly into him and trapping him in front of middle stump as he swishes in fear. Up goes the finger and out goes Allen. 73/6 15.4 to Wahab Riaz, tonks off stump for his five-for! Third five-wicket haul of his T20 career, first in franchise cricket. Seems a small number? It's because batters are usually playing him out carefully. Wahab Riaz here has no such agenda. Clears the front leg and swings for the roof. That ball is dangled up slow, turns in from outside off, and hits the top of off. 114/7 |
