Full commentary

Afghanistan have produced a comprehensive win here today beating Ireland by 39 runs. Ed Joyce top scored for Ireland with 62 off 87 balls but once Kevin O'Brien was out for his quick fire 35 off 23, there was only going to be one winner.

Spinners was the pick of the Afghan bowlers, with Mohammad Nabi and Rashid taking 3 wickets each.

So Afghanistan go 1-0 up in the series. The great news is there is not long to wait till the next match. Thursday here at Stormont.

The weather for Thursday looks good, so thanks for following my commentary today and I hope that you join me again on Thursday.

Goodnight
