Gone! On a length, outside off Trott slashes and gets a healthy edge through to the 'keeper! Shafiul sprints round the field screaming, back on the balcony Siddons and the support staff are leaping and hugging each other, the whole team smiling and cheering. Now they can grab those stumps
England vs Bangladesh, 2nd ODI at Bristol, Jul 10 2010 - Ball by Ball Commentary
What a game! A historic victory for Bangladesh, their first over England in any format, and their first win in 2010. But boy they had to scrap for it. Trott got England so close, and those two boundaries in the penultimate over seemed to swing the game for the hosts. 247 days without a win, Nasser Hussain asks Shafiul how it feels to break that run and he replies "great!"
"I think for us to moan about our inadequacies would take away from Bangladesh's victory," says Strauss, "Bangladesh thoroughly deserved this victory. We just weren't good enough."
"Definitely, after losing 24 matches in a row the dressing room hasn't been happy," says Mashrafe. "But the dressing room is happy now! We just hoped that this would come, we just worked hard. Keeping calm is what cricket is all about, we tried to stay positive at the end and believe."
For his captaincy under pressure, his two wickets and his swashbuckling innings, Mashrafe gets the Man of the Match award.
"I tried to be more calm today and just trust the boys to do the job out there today," says Jamie Siddons. "We try and get better all the time and trust our own individual performances, but it's hard when you keep getting beat. It's unbelievable [to beat England]. They're probably the best team in the world at the moment. I think our fast bowlers bowled much better today, also with a bit of luck on their side. We put the screws on and kept getting wickets, that's the secret. We're going to sing a song [in the dressing room], it's going to be great mate." Great to see Siddons smiling, there's real pride and emotion in his voice as he talks about the team.
This has been a thoroughly enjoyable game to watch, and we hope you've enjoyed our coverage. It's goodbye from me, Liam Brickhill, and my esteemed colleague, Sahil Dutta. This series is still alive, so do join us for the final game on Monday. Before you go, there's Andrew McGlashan's match bulletin to enjoy.
