backs away and gets an edge on the hook shot through to the keeper
Stars vs Thunder, at Melbourne, Jan 08 2013 - Ball by Ball Commentary
That is just an incredible capitulation from the Thunder to gift the Stars a victory and a berth in the semi finals. Credit to the Stars bowlers, but it was some terrible shots that cost the Thunder when they were in a comfortable position.
Gayle finally got going in the tournament but it wasn't enough as the hosts' pace attack ripped through the Thunder's middle order.
Gayle has been named Man of the Match for his 2 for 5 with the ball and 65 with the bat, but it will be little consolation for the Thunder as they remain winless to finish the season.

Thanks for your company, good night.
slower ball gets top edged to short fine leg for an easy catch
advances down and gets a thick inside edge past short fine leg
good yorker outside off
length on off and he smashes it straight back past the bowler, nice shot
short outside off, cuts over gully
another short one, ducks under it
bouncer outside off, can't connect on the cut shot
drives high out to deep point, easy catch
full outside off and he smashes it over cover, great shot
This has been incredibly poor cricket from the Thunder over the past six overs. Credit to the Stars, but the Thunder have thrown it away with some shocking shots
slower ball completely deceives Sandhu
pulls weakly through mid wicket and he takes Maxwell on and that is never going to end well for Cosgrove
guided to short third man
walks down the wicket and cross bats to long off
pops the slower ball up through point, very lucky
guides the slower ball to short third man
backs away and chips just over gully's head
pushed to gully
pulled to deep mid wicket and again they can't get two
digs a yorker out back to the bowler, well bowled
The Thunder are choking in a big way here, a lot of pressure on Cosgrove now
length on off, he tries to go deep but doesn't quite clear long off
driven to long on, they think about two but decide against it
