A comprehensive win for the Hurricanes. It was set up with the ball. They bowled magnificently to restrict the Strikers to 143. Dan Christian took 5 for 14 and Stuart Broad bowled beautifully as well. Then a 105-run opening stand between D'Arcy Short and Tim Paine in just 12 overs allowed the Hurricanes to cruise to victory. Short was impressive again with his second half-century of the tournament. Dan Christian is named man of the match for his 5 for 14, the second best figures in BBL history.
