Hobart Hurricanes win by 10 runs in a very high-scoring encounter. Matthew Wade's magnificent century was the centerpiece, but for large parts of the chase the Strikers were well up in the chase. In the end, though, the impressive death skills of James Faulkner and Nathan Ellis sealed it. George Bailey has at least one more match in his career.

We now know that it will be Stars v Sixers at the MCG in the Qualifier on Friday. The Strikers will host the Knockout on Saturday against the winner of the Eliminator which will be the Hurricanes against either the Thunder or the Heat. The Heat play the Renegades tomorrow. It's all happening.

I'll wrap things up there for tonight. Will be back tomorrow. Thanks for joining us!

Ellis to Agar, 1 run

length ball at the stumps, clubbed down the ground...Hurricanes are through!

Ellis to Neser, OUT

and that's it! A length ball, in the slot for a big hit, Neser swings across the line and misses

Michael Neser lbw b Ellis 9 (5b 0x4 1x6) SR: 180
Ellis to Neser, SIX runs

what a strike! It's not over yet...moves across outside off and plays a mighty mow against a delivery just short of yorker length. Peppers deep midwicket

Three sixes to win it

Ellis to Siddle, 1 run

full outside off, jabbed to short third man

Ellis to Neser, 2 leg byes, OUT

inside edge through the legs and past the stumps! Also beats the keeper and scuttles towards fine leg. They try to make it back for a third...and he's out!

Matthew Short run out (Boland/†McDermott) 6 (5b 0x4 0x6) SR: 120
Ellis to Short, 1 run

a yorker outside off, driven to deep impressive from Ellis

So Ellis has 22 runs to defend

James Faulkner 4-0-35-1
Nathan Ellis 3-0-27-1
Faulkner to Short, 1 run

swings a straight delivery to deep midwicket. An outstanding over. Should be match-sealing

Faulkner to Neser, 1 run

a full and wide slower ball, throws everything at it but can only edge to short third man

Faulkner to Neser, 2 runs

a slower ball dragged down, pulled to deep square...they chance the second, as they really have to, the throw isn't great and Neser brings out the dive

Faulkner to Short, 1 run

carves a full toss into the off side

Faulkner to Carey, OUT

taken at long-off! Is that the game? Back of a length outside off, he flat-bats it down the ground but the lack of pace on the ball meant he dragged it

Alex Carey c Wright b Faulkner 39 (24b 3x4 2x6) SR: 162.5
Faulkner to Carey, no run

a slower ball, wide outside off, just dips inside the guide line and Carey leaves it alone!

27 off 12. What would Ellis be comfortable with defending off the last? 15, perhaps
