That's it for this game. The action continues non-stop. Do come back for more. Until next time, this is Shashank Kishore signing off on behalf of Binoy George and the veteran debutant. Stay safe and take care.

Larkin: It was probably their game for most of the chase but our bowlers held their nerve. He wanted the ball [on Zampa bowling the final over]. He took it out of Maxi's hand and delivered. We are so happy to have him in our team. Yeah I struggled for the first 20-odd balls but then the Power Surge helped. It is good to have stars like Russell and Qais Ahmad in our team and hopefully they will do well.

Nick Larkin is the Player of the Match.

The Stars have come back from a grim position when Billings and Gilkes were cruising to turn it around and win a thriller by 4 wins. Maybe The Thunder will wonder why they left the Power Surge so late when the aforementioned duo were going so well. Billings was in the mood too as he took on the youngster Couch and hit him for a massive six - which should've signalled for the Power Surge. But his wicket next over started the rot and at the end Zampa kept his nerve to defend 11 off the last over. Credit to both NCN and Dre Russ for bowling two tight overs in the Power Surge which left enough for Zampa in the last over. The Stars will be relieved that despite a sloppy effort in the field, they were able to sneak home at the end. One consolation for The Thunder is they go home with the Bash Boost point. Stay tuned to know who the player of the match is.

19.6
Zampa to Cutting, no run

Zampa has done it for The Stars. And he celebrates. The Stars win by 4 runs. Zampa keeps his cool and fires it flat wide of off, Cutting had made room to slash but does not connect, he was on his knee targetting the extra-cover region but the ball scooted past the bat

19.5
1
Zampa to Ross, 1 run

dropped by Maxwell at long-on. Can you believe it? How big a moment will that be? Flat-batted low to him and despite getting both hands to it, Maxwell shells it, but just a single

Chat between the batsmen and the bowler and Stoinis. Slight pause in play

19.4
1
Zampa to Cutting, 1 run

flat and following Cutting who finds deep mid-wicket, wants two but Cartwright keeps it to one

7 off 3

19.3
1
Zampa to Ross, 1 run

Ross comes down the track and smashes this tossed up delivery to long-off. Only a single

8 off 4 and the crowd are getting behind The Stars

19.2
2
Zampa to Ross, 2 runs

Ross comes down the track and another fumble at sweeper this time from Webster, sliced in front of him and it spun a little to hoodwink him, they come back for the second

10 off 5

19.1
1
Zampa to Cutting, 1 run

a fumble from Stoinis at extra-cover. What a moment. Flat and skidding on outside off, Cutting finds Stoinis who lets it go

Zampa with the final over. A big call this. Can the leggie defend 11?

18.6
Russell to Ross, no run

a dot to end and the equation is now 11 off 6. Low full-toss and biffed straight to mid-off. They don't want to take the quick single as it is hit too well

18.5
1
Russell to Cutting, 1 run

very full outside off, Cutting drags the big hit to the vacant mid-wicket region. Just a run

12 off 8

18.4
4
Russell to Cutting, FOUR runs

Cutting with a vital blow. Too straight and that's not where Russell would've wanted to bowl. Helicoptered by Cutting into the deep mid-wicket region where there's no-one. Fine blow but poor bowling with the field set

Sweeper and deep point on the off-side now. So the line will be outside off

18.3
1
Russell to Ross, 1 run

short of a length on the stumps, Ross mishits the pull, but grabs a single in front of mid-on

18.2
2
Russell to Ross, 2 runs

now Maxi fumbles and that's two more. Length ball, flicked into the gap at deep square, long boundaries and two more

Maxwell has a word with his bowler. I can see mid-on in and the sweeper on the off-side coming up. The two men out are on the on-side

18.1
4
Russell to Ross, FOUR runs

Smashed! Absolutely drilled as Russell goes full on the stumps, Ross powers it past the bowler and beats mid-off's dive too

Maxwell is setting the field and the second over of the Power Surge will be bowled by Dre Russ

17.6
3
Coulter-Nile to Ross, 3 runs

Stoinis with a huge chase and saves a run for his side. So crucial all these small moments. Ross backs away and gets it away over the off-side infield, did not hit it well otherwise would've got four. Stoinis with a top effort

26 off 13 and Ross on strike. They need a boundary off this

17.5
1
Coulter-Nile to Cutting, 1 run

again good bowling by NCN. Follows Cutting leg-side with another off-pace ball, flicked behind square

17.4
Coulter-Nile to Cutting, no run

slower ball into the pitch, short as well, Cutting swings too early and is beaten. Well-bowled

17.3
4
Coulter-Nile to Cutting, FOUR runs

Cutting is away with a four first ball. Makes room outside leg and slashes the back of a length delivery over backward point. Good start

Off-side field is up as Cutting comes in

17.2
W
Coulter-Nile to Gilkes, OUT

this game is turning. The short ball and hurries Gilkes with the angle from round the wicket, he gloves the pull and Joe Clarke nearly makes a mess of a simple catch. Snaffles it and goes to ground - not sure whether he lost balance at the last moment there, but manages to hang on. Another big wicket for The Stars

Matthew Gilkes c †Clarke b Coulter-Nile 56 (49b 4x4 1x6 64m) SR: 114.28

NCN round the wicket to the left-hander

17.1
1
Coulter-Nile to Ross, 1 run

NCN follows Ross who backs away, with a slower length ball, bunted straight down the ground

The Power Surge has been taken and NCN is into the attack. 32 off 18 is the equation

Russell to Gilkes, 2 runs

Gilkes ends the over with two more. Slower off-cutter on a good length, lofted wide and over extra-cover for a couple

16.5
2
Russell to Gilkes, 2 runs

length ball outside off, Gilkes swings early and the bottom-edge runs away to third man, they rush back for the second
