I dare you to tell me you didn't enjoy this game! The bowlers dominated for the most part, but when the fireworks came, they came aplenty. Tim David and a bit of Roston Chase in the first innings. And Tim Seifert late late in the second innings. In between, excellent bowling from Alzarri Joseph, Chase, Wahab Riaz, Jayden Seales and Akeal Hosein. A game to remember. The Kings are now on the points table while the defending champions suffer their second defeat. This season is turning out to be a humdinger. See you later in the day for the second game of Super Sunday. On behalf of Shashank Kishore and Ranjith P, this is Sreshth Shah saying thank you for joining us. Ciao!

Stat alert: Trinbago Knight Riders lost to a St Lucia franchise for the first time since June 2016. They went 11 consecutive matches (10 wins) without a defeat against Zouks/Stars.

Losing captain Pollard: "We gave 15 runs too much, but we can't fault our bowlers. They have bowled well this season. Some issues with the batting. 61 dots are not a big problem because you rather get dots than get out. Munro was alright, he dug in there and Seifert nearly got us over the line.

Winning captain du Plessis: "It's a crazy game but we love it. That's what pressure does (on Keemo's over). We thought about Wahab's experience bowling the second-last over but we were worried about the short boundary from that end. The nature of this pitch is that you always have to bat deep. It's not a 180 wicket. You need to drag it late. And our spinners squeezed it well."

Sumanto: "The Knight Riders always bat their power hitter late, Russell in IPL and Seifert in CPL. What a pity, Seifert deserved the glory today!"

1.41pm Amazing sportsmanship. The Kings fielders run up to Seifert to congratulate him on a valiant effort even before they start celebrating. They are very aware that they were just one or two balls away from losing this game that they had total control of before he walked in. Applause for Seifert from the Knight Riders as he leads the batters out. Throws the gloves away in frustration because he knows he brought them so close to the win. Seifert finishes with a 16-ball 40. But there will be question marks over how Colin Munro played today. Agreed the pitch was tricky, but a 47-ball 40 will definitely bring criticism along with it.

But the chase was made difficult by Chase, who bowled 1 for 17 in his four and hit a 24-ball 30. He's also the Player of the Match. "We were nervous, but Wahab did well. Batting first, I tried giving David the strike and it worked out. The first win of the tournament is always very special."

Wahab Riaz to Seifert, no run

terrific ball. Good length on off and skidding through. Seifert has no chance with the ball staying low. Misses the leg side swipe, hits his body and that's a five-run win for St Lucia Kings!

It's all happening! Six to win, which Seifert can very well do. Massive ball. Wahab is experienced...

Wahab Riaz to Munro, 1 bye

run out? Who is out? Is it out? Munro misses the cut off this length ball. But Seifert is running for a single anyway. Munro is late to realise. Fletcher throws the stumps down, but Munro is safe because he was late to leave the crease and was still inside. The stumps are broken, and the duo take the bye run anyway since they can. Not only is that not a wicket, it is a single and it brings Seifert on strike.

Seven needed off two. A two and four means we'll have a Super Over.

Sohail Ahmad : "Can last match zero Wahab become hero tonight? Million dollar question "

Wahab Riaz to Seifert, 1 run

good length, on middle and leg. Looks to walk across and play it behind square but misses. Hits the arm, and they can only get one.

19.3
Wahab Riaz to Seifert, no run

full outside off stump. And Seifert finally fails to get bat on ball. Angling away, and he can't get the connection. Past the outside edge to the keeper

Varshith : "This has been a phenomenal innings by Seifert... When even set batters struggled he just came in and smashed.. Take a bow man "

Wahab Riaz to Seifert, 1 wide

oh dear. Slower ball, short ball, wide ball. Left alone and he has to rebowl

19.2
1
Wahab Riaz to Munro, 1 run

full and wide outside off. Throws the bat at it, and slaps it to deep point for one. Could've gone for four if that was played a bit more behind square

Saad Kutesra : "Bad Captaincy by Faf... He didn't gave full quota of Wahab Riyaz"

Wahab Riaz to Munro, FOUR runs

in the slot, on off. And Munro has finally got his timing right! Absolutely clubbed down the ground, past the non-striker, and long on can't cut it off

Momentum with the Knight Riders. Seifert has brought this game alive. But Munro is on strike. Wahab bowling. 14 to win.

and that has been squirted away! Twenty-one runs off the over. Races away to the fine-leg boundary as he gets a bottom-edge past off stump for four. Wanted to hit it to cow corner, but got the result he wanted anyway

Last ball of the over. Massive delivery coming up.

slower ball. Fullish, outside off stump. Through the cut too early, and through to Fletcher on the bounce

Paul to Seifert, FOUR runs

the Knight Riders players in the dugout are standing up! Yorker wide outside off. But Seifert looks to guide it through point. Ends up edging it between the keeper and short third man for four

Paul to Seifert, SIX runs

full toss on off. Seifert stays rooted in his crease and hammers another six! This one is brilliant, right over the bowler's head. And the Knight Riders media manager in the stands is pumped too after that shot.

Sean Daniel: "That was a superb come back. Regardless of the 1st three balls. Will this be it for TKR. " -- Joseph has been excellent this morning.

Paul to Seifert, SIX runs

low full toss on off stump. Goes deep in his crease, and smacks a shot over long off! Not timed perfectly, but enough to take it over Faf at long off. Seifert is playing a whirlwind innings here. Knight Riders need 28 off 10

Ahsan Butt: "Now Tim David's inning looks even more herculean! "

Paul to Munro, 1 run

low full toss on middle since Munro moved backwards to make room. Otherwise it was a yorker aimed at his toes. Clattered to deep extra cover for one

full, and fast. Just outside off. Seifert looks to cut it square, but beaten by Joseph's pace. End of his spell. 0/33 after an expensive final over

Varshith : "Tim Seifert looks a very very innovative and powerful batsman..On a pitch where settled batsman struggled he's playing shots with atmost ease."

Alzarri Joseph to Seifert, no run

fullish, outside off. Walks across and looks to smack it through square leg. But deceived by the lack of pace. Goes under the blade to the keeper

good length on off and this time too close to the body for the cut or ramp. Misses, through to Fletcher

Alzarri Joseph to Seifert, FOUR runs

Seifert, you beauty. Good length, outside off but angling in. Seifer backs away, creates the width, and slaps it over point. One bounce four

There's life in this game. "It's alive" as a famous movie dialogue once said

fullish on middle and leg. Angling down leg stump as he misses the expansive attempt to find the boundary on the leg side. Wide run collected

Alzarri Joseph to Seifert, SIX runs

in the slot and put away! Should Seifert have come in earlier? Full on middle, and leg. He backs away, gets under the delivery, and lofted over the umpire for six

Nick: "Does this go down as the worst ever T20 innings?" -- I could direct you to a few other games that would fit that criteria, but I'm not in a mean mood today! This was a tricky wicket. Lots of grip on this surface that pacers and spinners both enjoyed. Not an easy deck if the bowlers avoid the slot.
