NW Warriors vs Leinster, 11th Match at Bready, INTER-PRO, Aug 27 2025 - Ball by Ball Commentary
With that the Rain returns again and the Umpires are taking the players off. Feels like we are jinxed here today...
5:34pm The rain isn't heavy, although it's certainly coming down steadily. The players didn't rush off the field, although they did look quite resigned as they all trooped off.
Sadly it does mean that we are losing overs again, and we've only got about 30 minutes to play around with to give the Lightning enough time to get through 20 overs.
The wait goes on....
Match State: Delay - Rain
5:53pm The rain has stopped and we have a new start time of 6pm. The target is now 142 off of 22 overs.
6.00pm Just when the players were getting ready to go back out again, the rain has returned and the Umpires have abandoned the game. What a shame, although what can you do about the weather?
Both teams end up taking two points for the no result and it means that the Lightning finish four points clear at the top of the table, and retain their title.
Congratulations to them for another double winnings season.
In a few moments they will be given the IP50 trophy once again this year, which they will take back down to Dublin to keep safe for another year.
The Interpros are finished again for another season, boy did that go past in a flash. I want to thank you for following along once again this summer, hope that you winter well and hopefully see you all again next year.
Until then, this is Justin saying goodbye. See you later.

5:12pm Welcome back for the Lightning chase. After taking into account DLS, the target has been adjusted upwards to 166. Let's hope that we have seen the last of the rain today so this game can be settled out in the middle.
The players are all gathered in front of the Pavilion, we are just waiting for the Umpires now....
