North Zone entered the final of the Deodhar Trophy with some brilliant batting from Yuvraj Singh and Unmukt Chand. Yuvraj named Man of the Match for his knock of 77. He had the match winning 129 runs partnership with Chand and won the match by 8 wickets, which is revised to 160, due to the loss of play due to bad light. Praveen Kumar was the pick of the bowlers who removed both the openers with the new ball but no support from any his fellow mates.
