So South Africa take the first ODI by four wickets, thanks mainly to an unbeaten 91 from the rock-solid captain, Jaques Kallis. A great innings, never breaking a sweat, driving on the up and flicking the spinners into the gaps on the on-side. He also had two wickets and two catches, he's the Man of the Match.
Put in to bat, India were given a solid total of 242 thanks to Sachin Tendulkar's 99 - his first such score in his entire career, in any form of the game. Andre Nel (3-47) led the bowling honours, but he was well suppored by Andrew Hall and Vernon Philander.
South Africa go one-up, with two more to play. Do join us again for the next game, on June 29th at 09:45 GMT. I hope you've enjoyed our coverage. Until next time, this is Jamie Alter, your commentator for the game, signing off. Cheers!
