There's the win. Half volley on the stumps and Misbah opens up his shoulders and hits it straight over the top and the ball clatters over the long-on fence to round off a clinical performance by Pakistan
South Africa vs Pakistan, at London, Jun 03 2013 - Ball by Ball Commentary
Pakistan won by 6 wickets (with 27 balls remaining)
The Pakistani chase went off without a hitch. Hafeez continued his fine form in the UK with a fifty, following a century against Ireland. Imran Farhat top scored with a fifty himself and looked very comfortable playing off the back foot. South Africa were wayward. They never settled down into a staple length and were hit all round the park. More troubling was the sight of Dale Steyn leaving the field midway through the innings after clutching his side. De Villiers will hope his side would have eased out all their kinks in this warm-up game and will look much better when they face India when the tournament starts in three days time.
Here's what the captains had to say
De Villiers: "Its difficult to keep up the intensity in a warm-up game. But I was pretty happy overall. JP and McLaren batted well and most of the bowlers got a good run. I'm quite chuffed about that. I haven't had any news about Dale. But I'm sure he was mature enough to go off the field before doing major damage to himself. I'm sure he'll be alright"
Misbah: "It was a very satisfying win. Everyone played really well. Wahab Riaz's performance was a big plus. Junaid and Asad were good too, Our batting got good runs as well. Right now, any of the 15 could make it to the team for our first match against the West Indies"
Thats all, folks. Thanks for joining us. We'll be back tomorrow at 9.30am GMT as India take on Australia.
outside off and its defended safely
Short ball and again Amin pulls out the pull and again its well in front of square

he goes outside leg and the ball is on middle, which is played with an angled bat
comes down the track and drives it down to long-on
drags it down short and he rocks on to the back foot and pulls it hard and well in front of square.
on the front foot again and defended solidly
came down the track but checked his shot, defending it back to the bowler
full toss, but its not taken advantage of. The flick shot has power enough only to only reach fine leg
Appeal for leg before. The batsman is caught on the back foot, but the ball was pitched outside leg
moves his weight forward and nudges it down to long on
Yorker. Dug out and hit to the left of long-on
moves across the crease and turns it down to fine leg
moves forward to a fuller delivery and gets an inside edge that goes down to square leg
full ball, pushed it to long-on
a little shorter, and he goes back and defends it towards mid-on
Lovely flight again. And a little turn. It was a tentative front foot prod from Amin
Phangiso into the attack
