Sri Lanka Under-19s 186/4(35.4 overs)

That's all we have for you from today's knockout game. Look out for stories from Vishal Dikshit and Mohammad Isam from ground zero. Until then, goodbye.

"Very happy about our performance, first off it was the bowlers, they did a really good job then Fernando played an amazing knock," says Charith Asalanka, Sri Lanka captain. "Little moisture was there, and I told the bowlers to make use of it and get the early wickets. Our plan is pace and spin, and these are spin-friendly conditions and we made full use of if. India are a very good team, very good players of spin. But it will be another match, we have played them before, we know about their batting and bowling."

"It was a pretty good wicket, 185 wasn't really enough," Brad Taylor, England captain.. "I think batting first was the right thing to do. We didn't think it did an awful lot early. Just didn't get enough runs. Definitely, some soft dismissals in the middle. Could have got 250 if we had consolidated. We still believed with our bowlers, but obviously wasn't to be. I guess just getting ourselves in in these pitches, have to get in and then you can go big"

Avishka Fernando is Man of the Match. "Very happy today for doing well for the team. In December we played against England as well, it was good for us. India are a good side, we are a good side as well."

Praneeth: "Promising perfomance by the young Sri lankans. They're peaking at the right time and they have to as they are going to face one of the heavyweights in the semis. But one has to feel for England, they totally outplayed their opponents in three games, lost just one game and are out of the tournament."

2.40 pm Been the kind of day no team wants in a knockout situation. They could only put up 184 in 50 overs, the top-order was knocked over by Asitha Fernando's pace and then to make matters worse Avishka Fernando came out and blazed away at the top of the order for Sri Lanka to show what could have been done. He got 95 off 96 balls, with 11 fours and a six. So now they move on to face India in the semi-final, quite like the 1996 senior World Cup.

England have had their successes in this tournament. Jack Burnham and Dan Lawrence are the two top-scorers and legspinner Mason Crane should be taken care of. But they just couldn't rise to the occasion today, and a few decisions going against their way didn't help.

barely any celebrations, but that was a lovely piece of deception from the legspinner. Bowled around his legs while attempting a sweep. Googly (FTW) for the wicket.

thick edge to the third man boundary! Sri Lanka are thrilled with all this. England, who are still trying, had a slip in place. But the batsman had made just enough connection

slower short ball does him in five short of a hundred. Drags himself off the pitch with a few cusses at himself. Another slower short ball, another duck-shot, except this time he only gets a top edge to the keeper. Had been down on his knee all set to leave, and then out came the periscope

how about that? He was looking to sway out of the short ball, but then at the last minute saw a scoring opportunity. Planted a ramp and the ball skips away to the third man boundary
