8.5 to MDE Holden, gone! A quick short ball, rising shoulder-high over off stump. Hurried into the pull, and it looped up off the top half of the bat and resulted in a simple catch to backward square leg. 43/1
6 | 0 | 37 | 1 | 6.16 | 18 | 4 | 1 | 0 | 0 | |
14.2 to DW Lawrence, bowled him! Went across his stumps to sweep one from outside off, and missed, leaving no second line of defence, and the ball crashes into leg stump. Had he simply moved his front leg across and missed the sweep, it would probably have hit his pad outside the line. 84/2
4 | 0 | 27 | 0 | 6.75 | 13 | 3 | 0 | 4 | 1 | |
5 | 0 | 42 | 1 | 8.40 | 11 | 3 | 2 | 1 | 0 | |
47.4 to GA Bartlett, bowled him. Bartlett shuffles across early, looking for the pick-up shot over short fine leg, and misses the full and straight ball that clatters into middle and leg stumps. 263/5
5 | 0 | 24 | 1 | 4.80 | 13 | 2 | 0 | 0 | 0 | |
48.6 to SM Curran, down the track and leg stump goes for a spin. Makes himself room to carve over the covers and the bowler sneaks a full ball past him. 269/7
2 | 0 | 24 | 0 | 12.00 | 2 | 3 | 1 | 0 | 0 | |

9 | 0 | 45 | 2 | 5.00 | 26 | 3 | 0 | 0 | 0 | |
27.3 to JTA Burnham, gone! That's flighted outside off and he goes hard at the drive, hits it uppishly, and straight back to the bowler at waist height. Just hit that a touch too early, lifting his head a little. I don't think the bowler deceived him in flight. 146/3 37.4 to CJ Taylor, another batsman bowled looking to sweep. Once again he got his front leg too far across, and it spun past him and hit his glove and deflected into the stumps. 196/4 |

0.2 to TA Imlach, what a beauty! This one's pitched up and moves away, he looks to drive but there's no conviction whatsoever, feet nowhere near the ball as he manages to get a thin edge through to the wicketkeeper. 0/1 0.4 to SO Hetmyer, outstanding stuff. This one's full and dead straight on middle, moves away ever-so-late, the skipper looks to work it across the line, but misses it completely and is trapped plumb in front of middle. Sam Curran is pumped. 0/2

39.6 to JU Goolie, he's holed out at long-on. It was a good clean hit, offered the full face of the bat but just didn't get enough elevation. The man there timed his jump to perfection, both feet were up in the air as he completed the catch even as the ropes were no more than a couple of yards behind him. Excellent control, a vital stand has been broken. Is that the game for England?. 193/6 41.6 to MO Frew, fine, fine catch at deep midwicket. It was up in the air for a long time, he didn't time it as well as he would have liked, Brad Taylor back pedalled, and then tumbled over as he took the catch. Excellent judgment there.. 207/7 43.3 to KMA Paul, an outstanding catch at point! It was full, he backed away, reached out for it, the ball flew off the middle, but couldn't get past the diving Bartlett, who threw himself to his right, took full control of the ball even as he landed on his elbows. West Indies right on the edge. 221/9 43.4 to KA Kallicharan, right through bat and pad. That's the end of that. This was full and coming back in, he looked to flick across the line, lazy effort really, and was beaten for pace.. 221/10
4 | 0 | 40 | 1 | 10.00 | 9 | 1 | 2 | 2 | 0 | |
42.2 to OF Smith, slogs across the line, ends up slicing it high in the air, keeper calls, and calmly takes the skier. As easy as they come. He took the pace off, so the batsman had to generate the power, which he couldn't.. 214/8
6 | 1 | 28 | 0 | 4.66 | 22 | 4 | 0 | 0 | 0 | |
10 | 0 | 38 | 2 | 3.80 | 37 | 2 | 1 | 2 | 0 | |
17.6 to GD Pope, a poor stroke and he's gone. Looks to slog that across the line over midwicket, but this one was quicker through the air and too full, couldn't get underneath it and found the middle and off stump pegged back. Wicket at an important juncture for England, Pope was looking really dangerous. 84/3 19.4 to KU Carty, chips a simple return catch back to the bowler. Looked to loft it over his head, but didn't get to the pitch, the slowness of the surface played a part to as he got it off the bottom of the bat. Another double strike here, England hold the aces now. Carty's struggle has come to an end. 85/4
8 | 0 | 44 | 1 | 5.50 | 27 | 3 | 1 | 1 | 1 | |
22.6 to SK Springer, draws him forward with the flight, he looks to drive but the ball drips on him, can't get to the pitch as he looks to drive, can only get a thick edge that is pouched superbly by the slip fielder. 103/5 |
