2.3 to ST Jayasuriya, cleaned 'em up! Full outside off stump, swings in enough to lure Jayasuriya forward and flick across the line, only to miss it all ends up and hear the death rattle behind him! Franklin roars out his delight! Thats a big, big wicket early. 13/1
13.1 to KC Sangakkara, gone! Soft dismissal, comes down the track, chips it across the line and can only find Fleming, diving forward just a little, at mid-on, to end whats been a very sluggish innings. 67/2
1015915.90317131
34.3 to LPC Silva, unlucky! Bond switches to a fuller length, gets it to angle in from outside off stump, Silva gets stuck deep in the crease, jabs the bat down onto it, gets a relatively thick inside-edge back onto the pads - an awkward noise, if ever there was one - and after a couple of seconds Koertzen raises the finger. Unfortunate decision for Silva. 152/4
1006016.00316112
45.1 to TM Dilshan, yet another unlucky decision, this time from Taufel. Full and drifting down the legs, Dilshan tries to paddle it past short fine but can't make contact. The ball strikes his back leg and is swinging away all the time. It might have gone on to clatter into the fifth stump (on the leg side) but Taufel raises his finger. Not again, Dilshan seems to be saying.. 233/5

25.1 to WU Tharanga, Around his legs! Cleaned him up. Vettori fires it quick and flat and on middle and leg. Tharanga chooses the wrong shot, trying to sweep past short fine, and goes way across his stumps, exposing the middle and leg. The ball is too quick for him and goes around his pads to rattle middle. Huge wicket, Dan the Man strikes. 111/3

10.3 to LRPL Taylor, Hook, line and sinker! Taylor hasn't had the best time out in the middle and he's adjudged lbw by Taufel this time. Vaas get it at a good length and Taylor comes forward trying to whack it across the line. Misses the ball and is struck on the pads, not much deviation after pitching and the ball might have gone on to miss off but Taufel gives it out. Taylor's forgettable stay comes to an end, Vaas's accuracy is awarded with a wicket. Another debatable decision. The umpires have really struggled on the day. 32/2
722113.00291001
1.3 to SP Fleming, Got 'em, that was a ripper! Full and pacy, close to 150kph, pitching on off and moving in. Fleming can't read the movement and bat is nowhere near the ball as it crashes into his front pad. Massive appeal and Koertzen raises the slow finger of death. Replays indicate that the ball was going on to hit the top of off. Fleming gone. Big wicket. 2/1

23.5 to JDP Oram, The doosra does it, turning into the left-hander, full and on off and Oram pushes it back tentatively. It loops back low to Murali and he latches on well, tapping it form his right to left hand as he juggles the catch. Murali's second good catch of the innings and the first one that produces a wicket. There's a certain joy in his eyes when he pouches them.. 114/4
23.6 to BB McCullum, Doosra again, and another wicket. McCullum goes for the sweep from off to leg and doesn't seem to have read the one that's leaving him. Ball balloons up off the top edge and Chamara Silva, prowling at short fine leg, moves quick and pulls off a sensational diving catch. It was dipping quickly but he lunged full length and held on.. 114/5
25.4 to DL Vettori, it's the doosra again and cleans him up, Vettori doesn't read it and pushes forward tentatively, the ball is spinning into him and, though he is well forward, that would have gone on to hit the stumps. Rudi Koertzen is at it again - raising the slow hand of death. He was forward but he was also quite plumb. 116/7
31.4 to SE Bond, That's the offbreak and that's cleaned him up in a daze. Pitched on off and turning prodigiously, gap between bat and pad and that's enough for the Murali menace to sneak through and rattle the middle stump. The end is near now. Very near in fact.. 149/9
905726.33223230
24.3 to PG Fulton, gone! this has the makings of a collapse here. Quick ball on middle and leg, Fulton chips one tamely and Jayawardene back peddles to take a simple catch at short midwicket. That was a soft dismissal and New Zealand wobbling against spin here.. 115/6
30.2 to CD McMillan, It's over! McMillan tries a similar shot but Jayasuriya fires it in quicker, almost a seam up. It's a slog and he can't make contact with it, the ball zooms on and rattles leg stump. Jayasuriya lets out a whoop of delight. McMillan hobbles back (and it seems NZ are in a similar state). 144/8
4.402224.71151110
21.5 to SB Styris, There's the break in the partnership! Dilshan has done his job here. Styris tries to chip it over short midwicket after advancing down the track but Jayawardene is waiting there at short midwicket, timing his jump to perfection and pulling off a crucial catch. Styris is the man in form but Dilshan removes him there. 105/3
41.4 to JS Patel, And that's the end of that. Patel down the ground and cracks it towards long-on, not that well timed and there he's waiting - Dilhara Fernando, who had a forgettable game is there to finish it all over. He pouches the catch wonderfully and there's a wave of Sri Lankan elation at Sabina Park. 208/10
