Chennai take the top spot. They were made to work for it for much of their innings. Hayden and Badri saw their team through to the timeout when there wasn't much of a difference between the teams. Things were tight - though Chennai had eight wickets in hand, so held the advantage throughout - but things took a turn in the 16th over when Badri clattered Harwood for 20 , and then took 12 off Amit Singh to seal Rajasthan's fate.

So both the winners today, won chasing, so that says something about the track here at Kimberley. Rajasthan are No.3 on the points table now. We'll get you the presentation details shortly.

Warne: "We were probably 20 runs short. It was a fighting total still, but Badrinath and Hayden batted well. I think both teams read the wicket right, the spinners did well, if we had Badri early it could have been a different game. Today was a big game, but we''ve got another one on Monday and we'll keep fighting."

Dhoni: "We thought the wicket will remain the same. The track was turning, but most of our batsmen are left handed, so it was important that Hayden stayed till the end. Badri made the most of his promotion up the order. We need to improve our fielding though. It was a tough chase, they had set an above-par score. But I'm quite happy with the overall performance."

Not surprisingly, Badrinath is the Man of the Match.

Badri: "It was tough out there. I had to stay at the wicket, and as I spent some time, more options opened up. The Warne over was a tough one first up, but he can only bowl only four. I owe a lot to Hayden, and he helped me out. It mattered in the end."

That's all we have from here folks. Thanks for tuning in and sending us your feedback. Until tomorrow, it's goodbye from all of us at Cricinfo. Cheers.

All almost over now. A comfortable win for Chennai in the end. Didn't seem it would be as comprehensive at the halfway stage this innings

17.6
4
Singh to Badrinath, FOUR runs

his best shot of the innings, slower one bowled full on middle, drives it past the bowler, presenting the full face to beat mid-on and long-off

17.5
Singh to Badrinath, no run

slower one bowled on a length outside off, made room to cart that over cover, missed as it cut away

17.4
4
Singh to Badrinath, FOUR runs

length ball on middle, gets under it and smashes it over mid-on for a boundary, gets to his fifty, under pressure to perform and has done wonderfully well here

17.3
2
Singh to Badrinath, 2 runs

there's no long-on so a safe shot, slower one bowled outside off, struck it over mid-on, cleared him comfortably, two more

Badri collided with Amit Singh while racing for a run, and the bowler, for a while was in some pain. He's on his feet now, so not big worries.

17.2
2
Singh to Badrinath, 2 runs

fell just short of deep midwicket, bowled on a good length on middle and off, went for a mighty swing, didn't get hold of it much to his benefit as it landed just short of Yusuf Pathan

slower one cutting into the right hander, defended on the pitch, calls for a single but is sent back

The end of a potentially matchwinning stand. Hayden was much quieter but his presence at the crease was important. Badri stole the show though.

Harwood to Badrinath, FOUR runs

it works this time, short of a length, attempted bouncer, moved away and cut that past Raut, connected well this time, and who would have thought that it will be Badri, not Hayden, who would cut loose
