11.28 pm Punjab Kings clinch a heart-pounding 11-run win. Preity Zinta is clapping with delight in the owner's box. Fifth straight game at this ground that the team batting first has won.

Mega Byte: "Say after me - Arshdeep should be on the flight to australia"

CSK captain Jadeja now: "I think we started very well, with the new ball we bowled in good areas, but I thought we gave away 10-15 runs in the last 2-3 overs and we didn't execute our plan very well. I think [Rayudu] was batting brilliantly, but as I said we could have restricted them under 170-175. [On the chase] I think not getting a good start in the first six, we're not putting runs on the board in the first six. So we need to improve on that and come back strong."

Punjab Kings bowler Kagiso Rabada: "In the Powerplay, we were a bit behind the rate, but I must commend Shikhar and Mayank the way they held their nerve, and then the way Shikhar and Bhanu played was just unbelievable. They set the platform for our batters to come in and play freely and then Liam Livingstone came in and hit a few gentle strokes out of the park and that set us up nicely. We got ourselves a winning total and I thought each and every individual in our bowling attack put their hand up. I think Arsh has been the best death bowler in this comp. That's what the stats say. He's a youngster coming in. He's got a lot of drive, a lot of ambition and he's got talent as well. And he's just a good bloke. So it's nice to have him around. I've always bowled at the death as well so I know I'm going to bowl at the death but Arsh has just been magnificent and been leading the way in that discipline. Everyone else knows their role. Spinners bowl when they have to. Rahul is a key spinner for us. Sandeep has a lot of experience and he's come in today and got a wicket in the Powerplay. Rishi coming back and bowling that final over, he put his hand up. It's still a bit nerve-wracking when you're bowling at MS Dhoni and there's not one red shirt in the crowd, only yellow shirts chanting his name. I think it can be a bit nerve-wracking but he held his nerve and came out on top so huge credit to him."

Ramesh: "Culprit for loss was Jadeja. Going for 14 off 14 before the last over. I feel players should know when they have too much responsibility such that it affects their game, and they should know when to appropriately step down." Lots of these comments coming in now. I guess Santner is off the hook after the flood of comments that came in about him during the Powerplay.

Arun Prakash: "Stats may not tell how arshdeep bowled beautifully well in this season. He is short of wickets but he's been too good at death. "

Punjab Kings captain Mayank Agarwal: "It doesn't matter but we'd like to win a few tosses but it's hard when you have to chase the game from the start. [On what the turning point was] I thought Arsh bowled exceedingly well. I must credit him. Throughout the season, he's stood up in tough moments and he's bowled the tough overs. He's always put his hand up and said, 'Gimme the ball! So he's been great for us. Even Rabada was fantastic, to get [Gaikwad] and Rayudu at that time was very crucial. I can't really pinpoint, but I would say these two with the ball really changed the game towards us. Not just as a captain, but as a team you need to be really smart and use the longer side of the boundary. You want the opposition to hit as many runs as possible on the longer side because there's more chances of them getting out so that does make a difference. As a batter, you need to pick the balls that you can really get out there because you know if you mishit or even if they middle it, you may get the result you want."

Player of the Match is... Shikhar Dhawan. Well, it is a batter's game after all... Here's his thoughts: "I always talk about the process. I'm a very process-oriented person and I focus on that a lot, on my fitness, my approach toward the game, on my skills. So I keep focus on those things and I know the result will take care of itself. I felt the wicket was stopping a bit so I gave myself a bit of time before going for big shots. I kept my calm knowing I could score big runs later on as well. Once I get set, I get lots of boundaries as well. I know my strength, so that's what I banked on and it worked my way. Batting first, of course to put pressure on bowlers and hit boundaries but at the same time to keep wickets in hand. We don't want to lose too many wickets in a bunch, that was a conscious effort, but at the same time not going in a shell and being aggressive. We keep that nice balance, play with presence of mind and smartness, not just play with power-hitting but playing with the fields as well. I've become a senior, and I don't feel like it. Time is flying... I give a lot of input to the players, even to the captain as well, what my thought process is and what I think about the game. With the youngsters, I try to tell them how to create a good mindset because what happens as a youngster is you are too harsh on themselves. They think a lot, they overthink and when you overthink, your energy goes down. I was trying to communicate that, how to use law of attraction and think big so you attract big in your life."

That's it from our live coverage today. Come back tomorrow for more IPL action. On behalf of my tag-team commentary partner Karthik Krishnaswamy, I'm Peter Della Penna. Take care!

R Dhawan to Jadeja, 1 run

full and wide on sixth stump, driven to long-off for one.

Rahul Oak: "19.3 was one of the most bizarre deliveries I've ever watched. Also, how amazing is the bottom of that bat if a mishit off it finds deep midwicket? "

R Dhawan to Jadeja, SIX runs

goes for yorker on the stumps at 127 kph, but doesn't get it full enough and it lands in the slot for Jadeja to launch this over the long-on rope.

Rishi has let the air out of the balloon of the Wankhede crowd with that wicket. Anticlimactic three balls to finish here.

R Dhawan to Pretorius, 1 run

slower ball lands full on leg stump, driven firmly along the ground to long-on for one.

R Dhawan to Dhoni, OUT

it was a wide if he left it! Might have even gone for five wides down the leg side! Instead it's a leading edge skewed to deep midwicket! Half-volley directed well down leg, Dhoni tries to help it on its way over deep backward square ala the first ball of the over but instead it comes almost off the toe and flies to Bairstow who takes a safe catch 15 yards in from the rope at chest height.

R Dhawan to Dhoni, no run

127 kph yorker on middle, jammed out back to Rishi.

R Dhawan to Dhoni, 1 wide

slower bouncer on sixth stump and Dhoni lets it pass before a steely glare at the umpires. Wide called on height. It ballooned well over him.

R Dhawan to Dhoni, SIX runs

One down, four to go! Length ball into the body at 127 kph, Dhoni swivels across and cleans this high and deep over backward square leg.

Rishi Dhawan is putting the facemask back on. He's being given the final over ahead of Chahar. He's got 26 runs to play with thanks to the magnificent spell by Arshdeep. 27 to win with Dhoni on strike.

Arshdeep Singh to Dhoni, 1 run

in the slot on fifth stump at 128 kph, Dhoni can't get under this as much as he wants to and shovels it flat to long-on, fielded on a bounce by Chahar.

Arshdeep Singh to Dhoni, FOUR runs

goes for wide yorker again and gets it fractionally wrong, Dhoni shows no mercy! Shin high full toss on the wide guideline, Dhoni punches this between extra cover and wide long-off to the rope.

Arshdeep Singh to Jadeja, 1 run

yorker speared into the legs, flicked out through the leg side for one.

Arshdeep Singh to Dhoni, 1 run

Rabada grows alligator arms at third man! Full and wide yorker, Dhoni slashes it completely uncontrolled with one hand flying off the bat. It was in the air forever but Rabada doesn't come off the rope and claims he's lost it in the lights. Arshdeep throws up his arms in frustration. Had Rabada judged it properly, it was a definite catching opportunity.

Nazeer: "If not for Arshdeep, I would bet my money on csk."

Arshdeep Singh to Dhoni, no run

goes for wide yorker, it was in the slot on seventh stump at 138 kph, Mayank gets across at extra cover though to deny four runs.

Mihir : "Keep the best bowler for the last over. Bowl Chahar right now. Come on Punjab." Mayank feels differently.

Arshdeep Singh to Jadeja, 1 run

full on leg stump at 137 kph, flicked out through midwicket for one.

Ashk: "Oh no its Dhoni." Is this said in your best Jim Ross voice going for the, "Oh no! It's Kane!"

Rabada to Dhoni, no run

bouncer on off stump at 136 kph, Dhoni sways back to let it pass. He's going to pick his battle against whoever the bowler is not named Arshdeep to bowl one of the final two overs.

Dhoni arrives to huge cheers. One ball left in Rabada's last over. Maruti Suzuki ASKcricinfo stat: What is MS Dhoni's strike rate against Kagiso Rabada in T20s?

Rabada to Rayudu, OUT

yorker cleans up Rayudu! He was looking gassed after the resumption from the strategic timeout following his dismantling of Sandeep in the 16th. Rabada was on top of him during this over and spears in another yorker following Rayudu backing away from leg stump. Rayudu misses with a tired heave and it ricochets off his pads onto leg stump.

Ambati Rayudu b Rabada 78 (59m 39b 7x4 6x6) SR: 200

Rayudu suddenly looking very tired.

Rabada to Rayudu, no run

slower bouncer over middle at 117 kph, Rayudu is foxed for once and can't get bat on this trying to go over the off side while backing away.

Rabada to Jadeja, 1 run

wide yorker at 133 kph on fifth stump, this time jammed out through square leg for one. They wanted two but a sharp relay denies it.

Rabada to Jadeja, FOUR runs

how good is that?! Slog sweeping Rabada through square leg! Jadeja guesses right on a slower ball wide outside off, shuffles across and mows this through the leg side.

Dharit: "Out of the 3 over remaining, Arshdeep and Rabada will bowl 1 each. If you were Mayank, who would you give the 3rd to? Rahul or Rishi?" Whoever that over is, it'll be the one CSK has to target.

Rabada to Rayudu, 1 run

goes for yorker on fourth stump at 133 kph, winds up as a shin high full toss and for once, Rayudu miscues one off the toe fluttering well short of long-off for one.

Rahul Oak: "You make it seem like all Rayadu has had to do tonight is show up with an appetite and dig in to all the treats on offfer, which is not too far from the truth, tbh. The number of poor deliveries that PK have served up to Rayadu has been astonishingly high. " Arshdeep has been the exception. And Rabada too, who is now back to bowl his final over.
