full ball swinging into off, and driven down the ground. The ball goes between the stumps and the non-striker, and Naseem starts celebrating just after the ball leaves his bat. He presented the full face of the bat, and drove confidently and Vipers win by two wickets to start their campaign with two wins
KnightRiders vs Vipers, 4th Match at Sharjah, ILT20, Dec 05 2025 - Ball by Ball Commentary
Vipers won by 2 wickets (with 3 balls remaining)
That's it from us today. Don't forget, though, that more cricket begins with the New Zealand vs West Indies game in only another three-and-a-half hours. It was a thriller in the ILT20 tonight, with DV at the top of the points table after their second win in as many games. Until next time, this is Himanshu signing off. Goodnight!
Shimron Hetmyer is the Player of the Match: "I try to not have the smile, but it comes out naturally! Stay in it for long as I possibly can... I kind of like the tag [of the finisher]."
Sam Curran, DV captain: "It was a quite a lucky escape, you could say. It was amazing. Such a powerful batting line-up [ADKR have]. We thought we bowled really well. A little twist with Hetty and Dan getting out."
Sunil Narine, ADKR captain: "We felt short by 15-20 runs. We started well in the powerplay. Powerplay was key. The situation made it a bit easier for them. It was a bit tough for the spinners [due to the dew]. At the end of the day, it's part of the game."
Time for the presentations
10.06pm A thrilling finish in the end. The pendulum kept swinging this way and that in the chase: DV were 71 for 4 in ten overs, 61 for 0 in the next five, and then 22 for 3 in the next three overs. In the end, though, it took a match-defining knock from No. 8 Tanveer, who smashed 31* off 12 balls, for DV to cross the line. Hetmyer flicked the switch in the middle overs as Lawrence played anchor, although Ajay's strikes kept ADKR in the hunt. His effort of 3 for 21 went in vain, however. Join us for the presentation soon.
Shadow-Shell: "Khuzaima is playing a gem of an innings here"
yorker on off, and flicked to short fine leg
wow!! Nearly a great catch. I think it's a six eventually. Yup, he signals it himself - before the umpire does that as well. Stone swung the ball in, and bowled on a fullish length on the stumps. Tanveer thumped it back down the ground, and Livingstone went to his right from long-off while diving. The ball landed in his right hand as he touched the boundary cushion. He seems to have hurt his right eye there, which rammed into the boundary cushion
Stone to Tanveer.
Eight to win off six balls. This is a proper thriller.
yorker again, and bang on middle and off. Tanveer jams his bat down for a single to cover
sliced over backward point. Lovely shot by Tanveer. He opens the face of the bat at his very full ball outside off, and finds the boundary at a crucial stage
two more, and that will do for DV. Short delivery around off, and pulled to deep square even as it's a slower ball
squeezed to deep-backward point, as Russell lands another yorker - this time on off. Russell is keeping it on for ADKR
another yorker around off, and Naseem can only manage to drag it to long-off
driven to cover. Yorker outside off, and jammed back by Tanveer
a yorker-length ball ball on off, which Tanveer squeezes towards the leg side
DV are still in the chase!! Stone bowls outside leg, and Tanveer has a swipe for six. Slower ball - a legcutter - but short in length, and outside leg. Tanveer swivels to bag six
short in length outside off, and punched to point
Naseem at No. 10.
another one gone attempting the big shot. Slower ball from Stone, who bowled it short and just outside off. But the ball got up despite there being a lack of pace, and Qais went for the pull. There was no timing on it, though, and it landed in the hands of the deep-midwicket fielder
Faiz: "This was Russel's 500th T20 wicket." --- Indeed!!
short in length, and around sixth stump. Qais skips down looking to pull, but misses
short in length, and just outside off. Qais nudges it towards midwicket, and they bag two as Stone himself gives the chase
Stone back.
top edge, and a crucial boundary. It was a short ball arriving around middle, as Tanveer took his eyes off it. He went for the pull, and eventually got what he wanted
short in length, and just outside off. Pulled to deep midwicket
Qais
well taken!! Russell and his mates in the dugout are all up and clapping. Sharafu, halfway between point and the boundary while moving back from the former position, kept his eyes on the ball, which Hetmyer had sent a few miles up in the night sky. But Sharafu didn't lose his concentration, and took it while diving forward after Hetmyer sliced at this fullish ball outside off
Arshad: "I think Ajay Kumar has taken the game for his team."
yorker floated on off. He looks to clip, but gets an inside edge on to his foot
short in length, and just outside off. Slapped to deep point
Tanveer facing his first ball.
low full toss angling across, and arriving just outside off. Swung away wide of long-on
Russell back.
