Reds vs Knights, 6th Match at Dublin, PRO T20, Jun 20 2021 - Match Result
Knights won by 5 wickets (with 9 balls remaining)
Aaron Cawley and Josh Manley's 28-run partnership is REDS's highest for the 9th wicket in T20s, breaking the record of 15 between David Delany and Hassett
It seemed a comfortable win in the end for the Knights and the truth is that it was. After losing McCollum early, the batters dug in and meant that the runrate never went too far above seven an over.
Georgeson was the top scorer, with a well made fifty. Although it was the boundary hitting in the end from Rock and Adair that made it comfortable.
Cawley ended up with two wickets but the truth is that the Reds never really had enough runs on the board.
You won't be surprised to know that Ben White has just been named as Player of the Match for his excellent bowling, that's two matches in a row that he has won for the Knights. Hopefully we will get more chances to see him bow soon
Knights pick up the four point for the win and end the weekend in second place in the table, just a point behind the North West Warriors.
Well that brings to end the first IP20 festival of the year, it's been a great three days down here at Pembroke and I hope that you have enjoyed the action. Next Friday we get to do it all again, this time at Bready.
I hope that you will be able to join me then, until then, this is Justin Smyth saying goodbye from a sunlit Pembroke.
