Ingram 97* lifts Warriors to second place

Colin Ingram's unbeaten 97 off 99 balls and a tight performance in the death from Warriors' bowlers set up their 14-run win over Titans in East London. With the win, Warriors have now climbed to the number two spot in the league table.

Batting first, Warriors were off to a good start as openers JT Smuts and Colin Ackermann added 85 in the first 14 overs. Warriors lost a couple of wickets in the middle overs, but with Ingram still at the crease, their scoring rate did not drop. He shared an 82-run stand for the fifth wicket with Christiaan Jonker to take the Warriors close to 250 at the start of the death overs. Titans' bowlers, however, fought back in the last 10 overs, picking up five wickets for 22 runs to bowl the Warriors out for 285. Henry Davids and Grant Thomson picked up three wickets each for the Titans.

In the chase, Titans had slumped to 104 for 4 by the 20th over. Thomson tried to revive the innings, sharing half-century partnerships with Graeme van Buuren and Rowan Richards, but the innings kept losing momentum. They went into the last over needing 21 runs with one wicket in hand and were eventually dismissed for 271. Thomson was the last man to fall, having made 79 off 87 deliveries.
