game, set and match. Too full outside off, he squeezes this into the gap between point and short third man. Hardly any smiles in the Zalmi camp. Relief more than elation. They've been made to earn this win courtesy some aggressive captaincy from McCullum backed up by some outstanding bowling, especially from Yasir Shah

10.50pm Analysing a game in hindsight is so convenient, but I really can't help but think how this game would have panned out had Lahore Qalandars batted out their 20 overs and made 100 or so. There was assistance alright, but not to the extend which suggested this was a minefield. Peshawar played some poor shots, and it needed every inch of effort from the lower order to get home. Second win in three games for Peshawar Zalmi.
It tells you the kind of spell Yasir Shah bowled when they've awarded him the Player of the Match award despite his team losing. "McCullum told me, on these surfaces, spinners win matches. He gave me the confidence. I tried to attack and get wickets. We had to do that since we didn't have too many runs on the board."
Darren Sammy: After a bowling performance like that, we thought we'll have a good day with bat and ball. We got 10 wickets, so we knew they could, too. But happy to have got the win. We made a mess of a small total, I don't think the coach would be too happy. Hope to put in a better batting performance. After the first game when we scored 190, everyone thought the wickets would be a belter. So far, it has helped seam and spin. When I won the toss, there was some moisture in the air. We exploited that. Hasan hit the Test lengths, so did all the bowlers I called upon. When they bowled, spinners did the job for them.
Brendon McCullum: No, it didn't feel like a 59-60 kind of pitch. We wanted to keep attacking. Credit to the boys, they got stuck in defending such a low score. We've come together really well. The team spirit, camaraderie and an understanding of how we want to be playing is something you can't fault. It was a good time to be out there and enjoy what was a tight game, but not necessarily the prettiest game to watch. It's more of a mindset thing. You don't anticipate when you get bowled out, but we were alive because of the positive mindset. You want to be aggressive and dictate play. Results at the end of the tournament will judge if we're successful or not, but for now, I'm very happy.
"Nice to get another win, momentum is in our favour," says Eoin Morgan. "Bowlers were outstanding on a surface that offered little more than it did the other night. When you chase a small score, you look to go for it. But the wicket didn't allow that. It was a little two-paced. I don't think I had a rub of the green with my dismissal. Everybody makes mistakes, thankfully it didn't cost us."
too late to pick up and release. McCullum not happy with the effort at short fine leg
width outside off, punched to cover. There's a direct hit at the bowler's end but the non-striker was in. What awareness from McCullum
Ibrahim: "I'm disappointed that Lahore didn't use Elliot earlier in the innings to take quick wickets that might have won the game for them. He was one of leading wicket takers this PSL." Took four wickets in the previous game too. But to be fair to McCullum, he attacked with Yasir and was rewarded.
looks for a single but is sent back. Backward square leg swooped in on the ball very quickly
sanad kheshgi: "Low scoring thrills always more interesting. Great captaincy from Baz. This is the spirit that inspired the Kiwis."

tossed up outside off, he lunges forward and blocks
Welcome back. Here's Zaman with his left-arm spin.
This is one strategic time out that is justified. In the history of all T20 leagues.
caught hopping and jumping again. In-dipper that strikes him high on the pad as he looks to turn it to the leg side.
hit high on the thigh pad again. Looks to go back deep into the crease to whip it away
looks to wallop this across the line, struck on the pad but umpire Illingworth is firm. Was missing leg stump
Two slips in place. There's short leg too
once again it's too quick for him to play a short-arm jab, hit high on the body.
too short and way over the batsman's head, thinks square leg umpire Aleem Dar. Fair call. Little too high
