Daniel Christian's three top-order wickets, as well an incisive spell of 9-1-35-2 from Clint McKay, set Victoria on their way to a comprehensive 129-run win over Tasmania at the Bellerive Oval.

Christian trapped Jordan Silk, Alex Doolan and George Bailey all lbw early on day four, before McKay had Ben Dunk caught behind by Matthew Wade, leaving Tasmania struggling at 5 for 116, still a long way behind the 337-target.

James Faulkner resisted with a patient fifty that included six fours, and added 68 for the sixth wicket with Tim Paine, as Victoria tried to salvage a draw. However, Paine was dismissed for 30 in the 48th, and two overs later, Faulkner was run-out for 53, meaning that the game was all but wrapped up the game for Victoria. Fawad Ahmed, Glenn Maxwell and Scott Boland notched one scalp each to bundle Tasmania out for 207 in 65.1 overs.
