Tasmania 7 for 304 (Doran 57, Silk 55, Tremain 4-64) v Victoria
Half-centuries from Jake Doran and Jordan Silk have helped put Tasmania in a solid position on day one of the vital Sheffield Shield clash with Victoria in Hobart.
With a spot in the Sheffield Shield final up for grabs, the Tigers produced a steady performance with the bat after being sent in by Victoria captain Aaron Finch.
Silk and Doran were the only two to pass 50, but there were contributions throughout the order as the Bushrangers battled to make inroads.
Chris Tremain did the heavy lifting for the visitors, claiming four scalps, while Dan Christian picked up two important wickets to not allow Tasmania to run away with the game.
