14.5 to HM Amla, Amla's gone, promised so much more this innings, would be terribly disappointed at having given his wicket away, was tossed up and it landed on a length outside off, he just lofted it through the line, straight into the palms of Shoaib waiting for it at long-off. 98/2 38.5 to JH Kallis, short outside off, Kallis was tempted into playing the cut, didn't get hold of it, got a bit of elevation and Wahab, placed at short third, runs in a few steps and dives forward to snap it inches from the ground, good athletic effort from the bowler, Kallis has to go. 227/4

17.5 to Fawad Alam, edged and gone, South Africa have edged ahead here, short of a good length outside off, Fawad looks to run it down towards third man, gets a faint edge and AB makes no mistake. 101/4 40.1 to Umar Akmal, Gone, full toss and he's timed that well but straight into the palms of Smith at extra cover right at the edge of the circle, off the meat and he was looking to clear the in-field but didn't get the desired elevation. 226/7

43.4 to Abdul Razzaq, that's the decisive blow, pitched up outside off, Razzaq had to go for it and tried to clear long-off but it was a miscue in the end, landed straight into the hands of Johan Botha in the deep and the spectators are now beginning to leave. 252/9

12.2 to Shahzaib Hasan, gone! That chip shot has worked well for Shahzaib this innings but not this time, was slightly short of a good length and he was trying to hit through the line and clear mid-on, got it slightly high on the bat and it went straight to Morkel at mid-on. 82/1 14.5 to Younis Khan, gone! Kallis bowls a short one on middle and leg, Younis swivelled to pull it fine, it went through to AB who took it above his head, big appeal from the bowler and keeper and Harper gives it out. Younis didn't appear to be too happy with the call, we need to check the replays to see if he got a glove to it. We'll only get the replay after drinks. Replays confirm that he did get a glove to it, that was out. 90/2 16.2 to Mohammad Yousuf, that's out, that went off the face, Kallis takes three, it was a shortish delivery that nipped back in and Yousuf was looking to guide it to third man, opened the face and guided it straight into AB's gloves as he dived to his right. 96/3
7 | 0 | 49 | 1 | 7.00 | 18 | 1 | 3 | 1 | 0 | |
22.4 to Mohammad Hafeez, Hafeez goes that was a soft dismissal, came down the track to a fullish delivery and chipped it with little intent towards a perfectly-positioned Kallis at long-on, had worked hard enough to build the innings and give Pakistan a sound start but has squandered it. 119/5
8.5 | 0 | 42 | 3 | 4.75 | 27 | 0 | 2 | 1 | 0 | |
30.2 to Shahid Afridi, stumped, Afridi has been sent back, kept it flat this time, Afridi had made his mind up, came down the pitch, swung hard and missed as it turned away from a good length outside off, AB did the rest. 166/6 42.1 to Wahab Riaz, he strikes, Riaz tried to improvise by playing the reverse-sweep, that was pitched outside leg and it turned in, he got the top edge while trying to clear the in-field and found Morkel at short third who held on to a well-judged catch. 245/8 44.5 to Shoaib Akhtar, It's all over, Shoaib was caught in two minds there, stepped out of the crease, then went back when the ball was pitched slightly short, tried to chop it into the off side, missed and was bowled. 260/10 |
