6.25pm: Dawid Malan is named Man of the Match: "It was either the pitch or me, I struggled for timing early on. Changed when we had to put the foot down, but I found my intent in the end. [Know the ground well] Made my first-class debut here, nice to come home and win a game for England. We've got so many match-winners, over the last four-five years, players are used to getting over the line on the big stage. Everyone feeds off each other in our batting line-up. [No1 ranking?] Try not to think about that, doesn't guarantee runs or getting picked. I'll look back fondly when I'm done. Morgs changed the momentum, we dovetailed and it was nice to get a partnership going."

South Africa captain Quinton de Kock: "Dawid batted really well, the captain [Morgan] came in and led from the front. Once again the guys played well, just unfortunate for us. [Drops and missed chances?] Makes you frustrated but that's the game, got to keep positive and keep learning. I came out and said 150 could be a good score. Just one or two small things went our way we could have won that game. [Shamsi figures] Shamo was a bit disappointed after his last game, wanted to make a statement and lead from the front, glad he put his hand up. [Team know they're on right track?] They're convinced, same thing last time [England toured], we lost one or two games by small margins. [Pace off at death?] Guys have their options, one or two things we could have done better. The group are learning, every game is different, every stadium has a different feel. We need to start learning fast."

England captain Eoin Morgan: "The first 10 [overs] wasn't our best. We weren't up at the run rate we were two night ago, but with a long batting line-up and a short boundary, you're only one over away, two maximums away the whole time. We have guys who can hit boundaries down the order, Dawid played really well and we wrestled it back from SA. The experience helps, knowing how to win, holding our nerve having been there before. No crowd means there aren't the distractions there normally are. Today's performance was pleasing, applaud the bowling performance, holding them to a score like that was very chaseable even if we collapsed at the start. Nice the wickets were shared around, the bowlers did an excellent job. Comp diff challenge, like playing away from home all the time. We like to create our own level of intensity, but in big moments you notice it. [Rashid?] Absolutely, outstanding the other night, went unnoticed, today he got the rewards and he's an integral part of our team. This series and the next one in India, when we might have a full-strength squad available, we need to maximise that. Outside of that we'll be looking to build strength in depth and give guys a chance to put their hands up for the World Cup."

6.20pm: Here's Chris Jordan, now England's joint-leading wicket-taker in T20Is, for an impromptu chat on Sky: "It's good to win the series, what we set out to do. Solid performance in the first game but a lot right in this game. Thought it was a decent wicket and to get over the line was pleasing. [Sticky pitch?] Most games, we try to assess, and we thought it was a good surface. Once we got some wickets and built some pressure, build the dots, they were making sure they got to the end. With our batting line-up, most par scores we feel teams are 15-20 short. [Improvement?] More individual, we make personal assessments, thought I gave away a couple of soft wides [in the first game], wanted to tidy that up. TC wanted to stick to his strengths, bit more clever and able to look after his figures today. [England record] It's a nice milestone, but as long as I'm doing the job for the team and the team are winning, I'm more than happy. [Intra-squad games] Competition for places is brilliant, it was good fun because people wanted to get each other out and hit sixes. It's all in good spirits, makes the entire squad better."

6.10pm: Another close contest, but England take it once again - that puts them 2-0 up with one to play, and extends their run of T20I series without defeat to eight. Dawid Malan played a textbook Dawid Malan innings, accelerating from 13 off 18 to a match-defining 55 from 40, and they just about got over the line despite a wobble at the end. SA looked below par with the bat but bowled pretty well, Tabraiz Shamsi claiming his best T20I figures. Results not going their way right now
