And it's all over! Maxwell gets the winning runs with a boundary, pulled to deep midwicket. A consummate performance with both bat and ball from the hosts as they go 4-0 up in the series.

Time for the presentation.
Man of the Match Glenn Maxwell: I could play a different role with Josh batting that way. His range, clarity is great. Felt nice to get that crucial direct-hit on the field too.
Aaron Finch: "Agar is bowling beautifully. We need a strong lower order with the bat if we want to defend our World Cup title. Wade did that against Pakistan, and Inglis showed that today too. Maxwell's role was mature to take us over the line."
Dasun Shanaka: "Spinners were good but we didn't put enough runs on the board. Melbourne crowd is always good for us, but sad we couldn't get a win for them."
Jan: "History made at the MCG tonight. That is the first time Glenn Maxwell (48* off 39) has batted 24 or more balls in a T20 international without hitting at least one six.via Twitter"
10.28pm So Maxwell remains unbeaten on 48 off 39, and he fittingly gets the winning runs. It was his partnership with Josh Inglis, who scored a 20-ball 40, that really took the game away from Sri Lanka at a point when they might have scented an unlikely smash and grab. While earlier in the game, it was arguably his direct hit from the deep, to end a promising stand between Kusal Mendis and Pathum Nissanka, that had shifted the momentum of the Sri Lankan innings.
That itself was an innings that had started promisingly, but again was halted by some disciplined work by Australia in the field. A final over blitz had given the Lankan bowlers something to work with, but 139 was always 20-30 runs too short on what was a fairly good batting surface.
Tinura: "@Sakun: Actually this whole series was a lesson from Australia about "single and double your way into wins"
Short of a length again and it's another single down to long on. This has been risk free batting at its best.
Full, straight and pummelled down the ground. Long on has to scramble to stop this.
Carved hard over cover for a boundary! This isn't time perfectly but it's placed perfectly, and teases deep mid-off, who can't get there in time.
Brings out the reverse sweep, but doesn't time it as he would like. Still has enough to beat the infield behind square for a couple.
Back of a length leg spinner, stays back and chops this down to long on once more.
Tossed up, comes down the track and powers this past the outstretched hand of Vandersay. Cut off by long on.
Nuwan : "@Sakun Thats value of partnerships Maxwell can play like this since Inglis getting boundaries needed"
Gets away with does Chameera. Strays full and on the pads, and this is flicked neatly behind square on the leg side, but fine leg is there to stop the boundary.
Length on off, Stoinis stands tall and punches this powerfully in front of square.
Misses the yorker, and Stoinis smokes this through the covers! You cannot miss your length to this man!
Short outside off and Stoinis hops up and looks to cut this, but ends up getting an under edge that trickles down to third man.
Sakun: "Its like maxwell is teaching Sri Lankans how to keep up with the target without hitting boundaries. "
But Chameera gets his man now! This just in the corridor on a length, and Inglis maybe gets a little complacent here in trying to guide this down to third man. All he manages is a faint tickle through to the keeper.
Wow, has that gone for six?! Short, wide, opens the face and carves this over point, and it goes all the way.
26 needed from 24. Chameera to bowl out.
Stays back to this length ball and cuts it in front of square on the onside.
Length and nudged on the onside.
Beats the edge! This is the leg spinner and Maxwell looks to guide this square but is beaten by the turn.
Length on the stumps and it's a back foot punch to cover.
Full and flatter 91kph, and this is swatted off the back foot down to long on.
Length and pulled towards deep midwicket.
Australia going along nicely here, minimal risks taken. These two looking extremely untroubled.
Back of a length, stays back and cuts this in front of cover for a couple.
