Lasith Malinga1007827.80217142
4.2 to C Munro, taken by point Munro too early into the drive. It was the off-cutter, and flies off the leading edge. Sandakan at point dives and takes the ball, but they want to check with the third umpire. Soft signal is out. Munro stayed put initially. Looks like the ball has been caught cleanly, with a finger under the ball, so he'll have to go on his way. Third umpire Richard Illingworth agrees, "no conclusive evidence to over-turn the soft signal" he says. Cleverly bowled by Malinga, having drawn him into driving, but bowling the off-cutter to take the leading edge. Munro will be disappointed at not building on his start. 23/1
47.1 to TL Seifert, caught at long-on another 115 kph ball, Seifert cleared his front leg to swat it, didn't get hold of it and it just went straight to long-on. Not a very successful debut with the bat for him. 317/6
Nuwan Pradeep807229.00218301
30.6 to KS Williamson, Pradeep returns and provides SL with the breakthrough. Chopped on. Williamson throws his head back in frustration. Shortish and slants in at off, Kane is pretty adept at knocking these down late to deep third man. He's already done it a few times in this innings. But this one cramps him further for room and he can only send a thick inside edge back onto the stumps. The second-wicket stands ends at 163 - 17 short of the NZ record.. 186/2
49.4 to MJ Henry, top edge caught at short fine leg good bouncer, and Henry tries to pull but is too late on it, the top edge swirls to short fine leg where it's comfortably caught. They've crossed though, so Neesham is back on strike. 363/7
Thisara Perera1008028.00234511
42.2 to MJ Guptill, he's out to a leading edge caught at point great knock, but it's come to a tame end. Guptill seemed caught on the crease. Another good length ball and on off stump, he looked like he wanted to flick it. Perhaps it bounced more than it expected. He was late in bringing the bat down too, and it flies off the leading edge for a straightforward catch. Some relief for Sri Lanka. 274/3
44.2 to LRPL Taylor, sliced it to long-off He's kept his line very tight has Thisara. Taylor wanted to whip this to his favourite cow corner area, but ends up slicing it for long-off to accept a simple catch.. 294/4

Trent Boult1006526.50316230
45.2 to MDKJ Perera, Seifert the debutant calls for this and settles under the skier. Kusal goes and with it SL's hopes. Boult goes full and wide outside off, asking Kusal to reach out for the ball and swing it away. He only top-edges it into the sky. The ball drops into the safe gloves of Seifert. Excellent innings from Kusal nevertheless. 298/7
47.3 to PADLR Sandakan, nice and full on off, Sandakan moves away outside leg, flashes and misses. Boult nails the stumps and hastens NZ's victory. 310/9
Matt Henry1008718.70239301
48.6 to SL Malinga, Henry yorks Malinga and seals victory for NZ Pinpoint yorker, hurries under the bat of Malinga and cleans him up. 326/10
Lockie Ferguson1006526.50278110
41.6 to NLTC Perera, Munro runs back from backward point and tracks down this skier. Ferguson hits a hard length outside off, Thisara aims to club it over the leg side. Instead, he skews it in the air. Munro completes a smart catch to tilt the match in NZ's favour. 273/6
46.1 to S Prasanna, very full and outside off, was there a deflection to the keeper? If there was a deflection, did it carry to the keeper? Seifert claims the catch. The soft signal from the on-field umpire is out. Over to the TV umpire Illingworth. Sekkuge had swung and inside-edged it behind. Seifert throws himself to his left and it's a clean catch. What an effort from Seifert. 303/8
Ish Sodhi1005325.30201040
26.2 to BKG Mendis, got him off the wrong 'un! good loop, pitches on a perfect length outside off, drawing him forward. Mendis tried to defend, but hadn't read the wrong 'un, or didn't account for how much it would turn. Grips and spins to take the inside edge that balloons up on the leg side behind him, the keeper runs across to complete an easy catch.. 178/3
40.3 to DAS Gunaratne, Asela holes out to deep midwicket. Sodhi loops it up outside off, Asela drags a slog-sweep against the break. Ferguson belatedly moves in and hangs onto the catch. 267/5
James Neesham803834.75252130
17.4 to MD Gunathilaka, Neesham can do no wrong! strangled down the leg side, and he tickles it fine, where the keeper makes no mistake. Length ball down leg, and he'll be disappointed at getting out in that fashion after doing the hard work. New Zealand have the first breakthrough. 119/1
19.1 to N Dickwella, it's just Neesham's day late on it, hung on the back foot to a fuller ball outside off, ends up chopping it on the stumps while going for the drive. The man driving the chase has gone, but it's been a brilliant innings. It's up to the rest of the line-up to continue the good work now. 126/2
32.4 to LD Chandimal, Neesham bounces out Chandimal! Taylor settles under this skier. Looks like a slower offcutter, kicks up at Chandimal, he hooks and top-edges a catch to midwicket. Neesham can't do any wrong today. Buy a lottery ticket today, Neesham!. 211/4
